[GUIDE] 1339 Fireball Shotgun/CI Sorc v1.0.0

I tried this build and I can say it has some potential, but it really does pander too much to needing a good ES chest piece.

I would say... if you could get Vaal Pact, it would be a lot better, but the sacrifice there is a lot.
OK SO FIRST OFF i now have this exact build and im telling ya this build is so god damn good i cant play anything else i stayed up 24hours building this build and trading and leveling its so fun to play normally as a witch you think o shit they are rushin at me (RUN AWAY) then your like o yea FUCKIN SHOTGUN BITCH! on a seriouse note i highly recommend to anyone looking at this to build this it is so fun i out lived a tank in a duel was really funny and for maps you kill shit b4 u even see it commin its just all around fantastic
Any news on this build since 1.10? Still strong?
Of course it is.
But first you have to own 2 Void Batteries :D
Kindding. It can be done without them, but you will not get the same result as the OP.

This is the basic CI Spellcaster Crit build. Can be done for fire/cold/lightning just changing the element in the tree.

I just started my second attempt on this build (this time on Ambush) Searing Bond/Flameblast(FOTM just to good to pass) hopefully transitioning to Fireball in the end.
Spoiler
My build is based on this but it is a life build + EB + MoM(unique) + high fire crits :D

PS: This build will always be viable unless GGG makes some drastic modifications to the passives. Which is very unlikely.

So far got all of this but, f*ing vaal orb turned my newly aquired 6link 800es into vendor scraps... so nnow i cant quit play yet...
Can anyone donate a crap es chest?
Thanks To Terrex for the chest peace bro :)_
Hey, I'm using a similar build. Some changes of course, definitely some ideas once I get past level 80 and can really get some good gear. Right now I'm saving up for Rainbow Strides and a Fragments ring. I believe the eye amulet is unnecessary and cast when stunned works better than cast when dmg taken for this build. Also that gives you the ability to get good amulets that cover some resists/cast speed/mana and what not without attempting to get a 40ex+ chest (which is just not going to happen anytime soon for any of us). Anyway here is what I use and my tree. (Flame totem is great btw as a culling/mf attack)

I have been ripping through 69 maps like they are butter, die once in awhile but only really because of desync with those throw up monsters and rare devourers popping out of nowhere and surrounding me. Lastly I think as I progress and get my fragments ring along with 1-2 more clarity levels I will be able to run Vitality with ease and arctic armor a lot more of the time. As of right now I do not run Vitality but keep it as an option; arctic armor I pop on when I see voidbearer/chimeras/and those titty monsters

Anyway; goodluck everyone I find that my build is working very well and I am certain that I could take on a lvl 71 map if a bit careful with ease.
. I use this build but with quiet big changes. For those who complain: you cannot expect that build made like year ago will still be op and undefeatable. It's thing of you to fix what's bad to make build playable. I can only tell some tips that work for me. So, the only unique that works for this build from shown by an author is dream fragments. Batteries are way too expensive and work only while using two. In my opinion, wand+shield is better for this build. Why? Some res, and of course bonus 1000+es, which is very important about survival. From my expierience, you just cannot be defeated until you have to face-alone the quick unique range pdps boss like in gardens map. It's also possible, but tough. But this build works best while doing 75+ maps in party. You can just stand in a nice distance and spam fireballs(the dps brought by them is just amazing). Also, use crit multiplier gem instead of fp. While using infernal mantle(which is waaay cheaper than any rare es chest), your 25%chaos dmg works as fire pen. I also run only clarity aura, just because i dont need discipline/purity of elements. The aura you can run too is haste, but you have to know if your mana regen is good enough for fast casting. Pots. Of course removes bleeding(you have to have this). 2mana pots are way enough. The very important pots for me are quartz and quicksilver flasks. That helps you get out of almost any hard situation. So, my stats by now: 14x3 dps, 8k es, 60%crit, 550% crit multi. Someone may say that reflect will kill me easily. But res, high es and es leech and sometimes careful casting is enough even without a need of using arctic armour( which I almost don't use). If anyone have questions/wanna discuss feel free. http://www.pathofexile.com/passive-skill-tree/AAAAAgMAAuMHpQ5ID8QRLxFQEZYVUBXXFecWQBpsHwInqSlPLJwsvy0fNsU62Dt8O-FBlkSrRtdHBkkbSbJMs03YUDBVrlZjVytdxl3yXypfamBtY0NtGXBScNVzs3rmfVN-WX_GghCCm4V9hq6HZYhCiGuLeow2jHaOZI-mnC2dY52AnaOdrqKjpLGnCKcrr7e297b6uMq71sBRwcXB88Lsw23UfNVP14bYJNrd217dBd3z3nffsOL344TkIuWO52rr5OwY7Djwa_Id8uHz3fem_Ks= my build here too.

This only works as long as you are facing mobs with fire/elemental resist. Once you face some with chaos resists (and that is a very common mod) the fire-to-chaos conversion turns into a disadvantage. Your burning damage will also be lower because the initial fire damage will be lowered by the conversion: The increased fire damage is outweighed by the LESS fire damage of the conversion (even when considering the plus to fire gem level). While infernal mantle is a good choice for a fire build it is far from obvious that it will be bis (it ain't).
This build strives for max dps in endgame, not to be cost efficient. Under that maxime, dual void batteries are bis for this build and the other gear has to be chosen to fit. Skipping them means skipping the whole build.

BTW not wearing the eye of chayula means you won't be able to solo a lot of maps/map mods which is a big minus point of your proposal. Without it you cannot play "inhabited by goatmen", and you probably also get stunnlocked in every map with "inhabited by ranged chars"/projectiles chain an additional times.
