Petrov's Elemental Bow Ranger Build(s) (0.10)

awesome build already testing... but one thing how do you refill hp... and use any aura?... thx
Wise words buff -> balance <- nerf , need to happen , deal with it
Petrov will you be continuing to play on default when Ob arrives or will you try HC? Would be interesting to see some build variations in relation to HC ladder.

At lower levels, I saw the best increase with +X-Y Cold/Fire/Lightning damage gear. When your base elemental damage gets higher, +% Weapon Elemental Damage gets better. You'll also want some attack speed.

For a bow, look for something with a decent attack speed (1.5+ APS) and at least 2 good +X-Y damage mods. If you're lucky, you'll find something, but it's also worth keeping a watch on general chat and checking the trade forums if you're desperate for an upgrade.

Thanks, Silatt. I'll keep an eye out and pay more attention to trade chat. Even through all the confusion, I'm still really enjoying the game. I'd like to find people to play with though, trying to con my husband in to playing ...
Is Ranger better for this build than for example a Bow Templar ? I mean damage wise.
Wouldn't it be more profitable to start of as a Duelist? It's way closer to Blood Magic and Iron Reflexes. That's what I'm going to try. I might be missing something though.

My suggestion would be to open up excel and compare the pros/cons of starting from duelist vs ranger for this build, and post your comparison here - I'm sure many would appreciate it!

Thanks,
Petrov.

In my opinion if you want to play "elemental bow character", marauder/templar is much better. Check this build, 77 points
http://www.pathofexile.com/passive-skill-tree/AAAAAgEAxthYY1BQjM_2SF8_VEnnUu8OPfx8uCkuud3yL9SPGS4n7ayqcql82cT2PC09D331JIt8u03YjHY62Ow4KU-Cm1fiMol35QSzFE2DOJ2AYG3d813GRtftIOFzi4zwH6IAxq7-CvJF52O3Pnq4bPaC5IqvkBFz4feIX6quk26qMn4_J249YEMAzKZXOuGI8UTnqBhqOxo4p4SQVQ==

Stats:
Dex 84
Str 290
Int 54

Offence:
58% projectile dmg (from Iron Grip)
80% weapon elemental dmg
41% elemental dmg
6% attack speed

Defence:
+155% life
+60 points to life
1,9% life regen
+68% all res
+71% armor
-30% dmg from crit
+26% energy shield

Other:
- always hit
- NEVER CRIT
- +6% mana
- +20% mana regen
- 7% reduced mana cost
- +6% cast speed
- NEED TO USE AMU AND QUIVER WITH DEX !!!
- 2% movement speed

Conclusion
High res and full of elemental dmg, also plenty of life, little armor but ranged character dont need many armor, resistances are vital. I think Ranger class have much bigger predisposition to be physical/crit than elemental. There are a lot of phys dmg/crit multipler/crit chance/accuracy near Ranger.
Seriously love this build although I do have to say I got a bit lucky with drops.
Unavailable
Still debating on what I should put in that final slot, most likely Elemental Damage when I find another.

Just got Blood Magic also and finding it a bit nerve racking but worth it. Just takes a bit of getting used to and good flasks!

Sitting at 2.5k and I still got 5 life nodes to get still and to get my final HP from Oak.
Some items in this post are currently unavailable.
Few questions: Why the points dropped into +10% evasion when we're using unwavering stance?
Or, are all those points adding up to be a valuable defense bonus with iron reflexes?

Please explain how/why I'm wrong here, I literally just started playing yesterday, and I'm trying to wrap my head around this huge skill tree and how all the bonuses work.

Thanks!
