Petrov's Elemental Bow Ranger Build(s) (0.10)

Viable on hardcore, i had to make some changes Ie. get some more healthnodes otherwise really good.

I want some opinion how is this bow with this build?

So quick question shoudl you be leveling up Wrath or anger ?

High Elemental Damage. Stack more WED affixes on other gears FTW.

Average DPS @ 223

Slow attack speed. Low LoH gain. Need IAS affixes on other gears.

If I were you, I will use it for the time being if I do not have any other near DPS bow of higher attack speed. Then I will be on the lookout to find a better faster bow if I have the resources to craft or buy. Then after getting my new bow, I will try to sell this. Definitely not my choice for long term use.

I am actually confused with the terms DPS and atkspeed.
Is it better use lower dps weapon but with higher atk speed? or slower atk speed but higher dps?

DPS (Damage per Sec) means how much total damage u can deal within 1 second.

Attack Speed means how fast you can attack.

Example:

I deal 100 damage per attack, but 1 sec per attack.

You deal 50 damage per attack, but 0.5 sec per attack.

Both of us each met a mob with 150 HP.

In 2 sec (200 damage), I killed it with an overkill of 50 HP.

In 1.5 sec (150 damage), you kill it as well and move on to killing something else. Makes sense now?


Usually slower weapons have higher damage to balance up the DPS. Certain builds may prefer slower weapons but high damage while certain builds prefer otherwise. Ideally, everyone wants to attack very fast and still get very high damage per attack. But that usually requires more calculation and godly gears. I myself is not there yet. =)

Some folks have made threads with their own made calculator for DL. But I'm not going download neither am I recommending because I'm overly cautious. Basically, you just need to keep track of your overall nodes and affixes. If you upgrade a gear for HP greatly but lose out on WED a little, then your next piece u want to upgrade could be the worse gear to replace with better WED. =)

It's complicated to me nevertheless...

. . . . . how is this build more tanky the my 2h mace marauder....!!!??? converting evasion into armor is so op.
