Gearwise, like was said before you need better jewelery. I'd also say you should switch out your belt, 20-25% ele dmg belts aren't uncommon and the rest of the stats on yours aren't too great so you should be able to get a better replacement. Furthermore get better gloves, while life and flat damage on them is nice you also want IAS and maybe res. Don't like your armor too much either, sure, there is life on it but you still want res too and at least a 4L so you can increase your single target damage with Frenzy or Ele Hit depending on what you use.

Overall from looking at your gear I'm guessing you're having low resists too? Try http://poe.xyz.is/ in order to find items that will help you out, sometimes you can stumble across good deals.

P.S. will every ele dmg type apply to the total dps? for e.g. would some cold dmg on my bow increase LA dps?

Pardon me for adding. I noticed that your bow is quite on the low side in term of average dps. 153.12 at the moment. At lv 60, I say try to get 200 to be comfortable. Lv 70, 250. Of course the higher the better.

How do I calculate?

All all the high and low damage numbers (Phy Dmg and Elemental Dmg) together then divide by 2, then multiply by your weapon attack speed. You can prob use this as a guide to find a better weapon.
In your case: [(23+67+8+78)/2]x1.74=153.12


Also, try to get weapons with more Elemental Damage affixes. Can benefit more from the WED%.

I also try to get weapons with at least 1.7 Attack speed to benefit from the Life Gain on Hit to mitigate any damage I face off with.

Hmm interesting... so based on that math, my current bow is a 234 dps and I am level 72. I should be upgrading to get to 250? Or am I close enough?

Frenzy > Faster Attack > Added Cold/Fire Damage > Life Leech > WED

You might have very high elemental damage in your other gears which make up for the justification to use WED. Try out different combination and see which one yield more damage. Don't forget, though Frenzy boost 110% of physical damage, 10% Phy Dmg per charge, the real take away is the 10% IAS per charge. 3 charge = 30%.

Then look back on your basic phy dmg. Let's say 500. Do the math.

Now look at your overall elemental damages. Plus your elemental damage nodes. Plus your Increased WED on your gears. Multiply by 70% from WED Skill Gem. Does that justify?

Are you sure? I have the exact same setup and I'm almost positive it works... guess I'll be verifying when I get home tonight.
