Why does Lioneye's Glare have no drawback?
" I'm all ears (eyes), lay it down, pros/cons. If you are fair, you will note, rather than ignore, the many cons of this model we have. If you think deeper than most, you'll realise the one or two cons that could be seen in my suggestion (which can be implemented to varying degrees) actually have pretty big pros to them instead. Casually casual.

" If we're rebalancing items that clearly need a drawback, and adding them despite the fact that people are using it, then we need to look at Kaom's and Shavronne's first. |

I was thinking about Shavronnes recently and how knocking off about 200-300 ES might be enough of a drawback?

" I don't think knocking off ES is enough of a drawback as much as it only further creates yet another rich-poor stratification. People who have Shavronnes AND mirror-worthy ES equipment would then still be able to run OP lowlife builds, while people with "only" Shavronnes wouldn't. |

My favourite addition to Lioneye's Glare would be "cannot equip a quiver".

" That would make it totally useless...
Yeah, that may be too big of a nerf. It would become the thief's torment of the game. Useful in niche builds. Quivers are extraordinarily powerful in this game, arguably too powerful because it makes Bows far more attractive to use than 2H non-quiver weapons.

" You care to much about people who have no vision of future. As a veteran gamer when I use something as OP (or UP) as the weapon this thread is about, I am prepared to it being nerfed at any time. Anybody who dont foresee such obvious change to clearly OP/UP items is just shortsighted and will be punished for it. If you use something that at 90% rate will be changed, use something that 90% of community of your class uses (statistic easly show what is OP in games), be prepared to be hit by nerfbat, and dont cry about it. Though the only thing left in all of that is you, GGG, the developer. Most developers now dont have any balls to fix their games, they are to afraid that they loose players if they change the game for the better. Thats just unlogical fear, since if the game will turn to better it will drag more players in than out. Unless developer simply dont care about their game at all, just milk the money with the lowest cost from their side. I am happy to see the changes in PoE patches, since I predictated many of the big changes, they were obvious to come. Only sux that it took you as developer so much time to realise the broken mechanism you set in place.
I actually think that the accuracy buff (depending on how it is handled) can be viewed as a stealth nerf to lioneye's. The big advantage lioneye's had over other bows is that it didn't need to spec into RT or accuracy. Now, if accuracy becomes much easier to cap, then you may start seeing rare thickets and ele thickets that do considerably more DPS than lioneyes really shine.

" It's funny, that even Chris says this, and it's true of course. Kind of draws attention to every other bow other than Thicket (or possibly Imperial) is vendor trash. Casually casual.
