[1.0.6] CI Crit Dagger Shadow (30k DPS Flicker Ninja) [OB video up!]
" 6links can cost like 2 exalted but not more tbh i am now talking about hardcore ofc since i only play hardcore i dont know the softcore currency. i posted my gear above, but i wouldn't recommend going CI untill your level 70 tbh, and the reason im not going CI yet still when im lvl 70 is because i dont have the gear for it yet and im lvl 70 and this is my tree atm http://www.pathofexile.com/passive-skill-tree/AAAAAgYABX0OSBB7ES8Rlha_Gdcc3B4aJDwmlScvJ6koKisKLOEwVEcGSTtJUVVLVupW9VptYeJtGW17cFJwVnJ-feN-WX_Gh9uIQohrjAuMNo6KkBuTJ5fQmVeZmpoTnaOio6Z_pzSnXKp8rGaxs7SjtMW1SLb3uT65fLyfvjrAUcEAwcXB88Ls1BnYdtsa227b1Nvn44Tjn-n-62PsGOyw7UHw2fF28-r1S_yr_5M= signature? That's an interesting question, is CI/Daggers worth it? Probably not if your just starting or looking at it from a currency POV. If you want a very cost effective build go Freezing Pulse Shadow, it's half the price and is a stronger spec. :)

" I was in SAME situatuion, but I found a party, killed general and Piety and went to merci, with party killed bosses to Q and then farm Ledge a lot of hours, lot of levels before I went to act2 ...and that was the best thing I can do " " U know...it's about the FUN, not about play marauder-pick-just-hp-nodes-and-spam-2-skills or something else, about spamming 1 skill everywhere Last edited by Lyncz#3493 on Feb 25, 2013, 9:30:37 AM

" Okie chill down, I was just playing devil advocate. I very much enjoy CI/Daggers, I'm one of the very few people to play the spec "successfully" and I'm one of the few people that has the gear to do that. However if someone came up to me today and said "I want to play shadow, what should I spec?" I would not say "CI/Daggers". CI/Daggers is an advanced build both mechanically and financially and I think most people would agree with me on that point. IGN: TP_Dat_Rock

yeah, it's advanced build, it's hard, it's gear dependent, it's my first (and last for now) build in poe and it makes a lot of people cry ...but that challenge it's somethink that make game a lot funny, at least for me
...but yes, I don't recomended this build for newbie |

I just came here to post my progress. This is my first character in PoE ever. I'm currently level 71.
Passives I'm finishing one dagger node cluster at the moment. I'm going to refund my resistance nodes as soon as I can compensate the loss with my gear. After the two dagger node clusters, I'm aiming for Vaal Pact. No need to get the Pact before I get enough damage for it. Gear I just found a new dagger and it raised my dps by 50%. It's also a lot faster than my old one and now I'm enjoying my swift Whirling Blades. I didn't realize how much attack speed affects it. Also, I now linked Faster Attacks on it for even faster positioning/escaping/moving. A lot of my gear is from my friends as hand-me-downs. Some I bought via forums and even crafted some. I didn't use much materials, don't worry. I'd really like to have 5-link chest, but those are quite expensive. I do have quite crappy gear so upgrading other slots shouldn't be a problem. Progress from here I'm soloing Merciless Docks at the moment and exp flows at reasonable rate. When my friends are on and I have more time, I do maps with them. Highest has been lvl70 and it was quite easy because of party and party's summons. I don't know if it's even profitable to farm lower level maps alone. I do have surplus of maps and I can get a map party whenever I have time, so I don't care about "wasting a map". But if the risk of dying alone in map is far greater than dying in Docks, it's not worth it exp-wise.

" This is my first character and I found it very easy to play. I've only ever died from really bad de-sync or just being too gutsy. It's definitely more fun than my other chars by far. |

I need help on my damage output. I only have 400 DPS on my Lightning Strike and everytime I ask another LS user what their dps is at they say 1k. I feel very weak in groups. Here are my items:
" and here is my passive tree: http://www.pathofexile.com/passive-skill-tree/AAAAAgYABX0OSBEvEVARlha_Gdcc3B4aJ6koKisKLOEwVDgbO-FHBlVLVuph4m0ZbXtwUn5Zf8aH24hrjAuMNo6Kkc-TJ5fQmVedo6Kjpn-nK6c0rGaxs7QMtMW1SLb3uXy71sBRwFTBAMHFwfPC7MNt2Hbi9-OE5BHmgen-7BjssO1B8-r8q_-T I even had to take some life nodes out to get some damage in. Before it was at 300dps now with some damage nodes its at 400. HOW DO I GET 1000 DPS! |

" Well, first, I wouldn't have taken out those life nodes, I would've removed some of the less useful nodes you've grabbed that you don't need yet (2nd Nullification cluster+accuracy nodes, Int node(s) heading towards Inner Force, Unnatural Calm) and tried hard to keep the HP nodes until I was ready to switch over entirely to CI (at which point burning up all your respecs won't hurt). However, the more important parts of LS damage are your dagger and, very important, your LS links and other skill gems! My dagger is level 53 required but does almost 200 max physical damage at 1.45 aps. I don't see Warlord's Mark anywhere on there; use it for the mana/life leech! Haste is the last aura I'd use; Hatred and especially (with low dps weapon) Wrath give more dps and can almost cost less (together!) than Haste, which as it says, is a 10% attack speed bonus (10% increased dps at most if it is multiplicative with other sources, not additive, but that's also 10% more mana/second used by LS...). Using Warlord's Mark, you could replace your Life Leech on Lightning Strike with a Weapon Elemental Damage support and gain a very large amount of dps. Also, I fully support getting a decent quality (as high as you can afford/find) Lightning Strike so you can drop pierce and replace it with Faster Attacks. Edit: BTW, this CI Crit Dagger Shadow is/was my 'primary' (highest level) character and first build - so I've done it with bad gear and such. So I may not be an expert, but I'm speaking from experience; I've been that guy in the party, wearing half magic items and using as many auras as I can afford because that's the best way for me to help the party of better-geared players.
