Does the Energy Shield delay nodes worth take it? Since you take only one but to the road to grab Arcane Focus. And is there a cap to the delay?

How to progress with this build through merciless? I got it to lvl 53, while soloing cruel docks is doable(ish), merciless is a wall i can't overcome right from the start. Can't even get to Hailrake as i get instagibbed the moment i enter tidal island. I'm at 1,2k hp + 800 es and ~65% resists, and when my summon skeletons totem dies (so after like 2-3 seconds) its game over for me. Also I don't have tons of currency saved to gear this character up (more like none), so should I give up on it ? Cause honestly with my luck for drops i think it would take weeks to farm the gear i need at fellshrine (if i somehow got there).
If partying is the only way then I'm out, hate group play.

He covered this in the very first post. This spec is difficult, and 100% gear dependent and isn't good for your first foray into the game.
That said, I would agree that jumping into Merciless was the hardest part. I jumped into other people's games for quests and had a summoner friend help me get to the parts I needed to get to in order to level efficiently (Fellshrine & Docks). When it comes to your currency, if you have very little saved, then you wasted a lot. I had a stockpile by the time I hit 53. 2 out of 3 of my major upgrades were purchases I made from other players. If you have to depend on drops, you may be in for a REALLY rough time with this build.
Edit for your edit: If you don't want group play... then... yeah.

You'd probably be in for a rough time anyway unless you had the gear beforehand. Merciless is hard. I couldn't even kill Kuduku for the longest time ever. Shit was rough, yo.
However, I managed to craft/find all of my equips except for my dagger
Currently running maps. The build is fine but dealing with rolling titans is a pain in the ass. Whenever they start their roll, I get hit. Even if I'm out of the projected path beforehand.
I also find Decoy Totem to be a lot more useful than Skeletotem.

I got so incredibly lucky yesterday.
I was on giving up my Shadow forever, but then I got this piece for like 7 gcp:
And this one is itemlevel 75!
So now I am getting the hopes back, and it will be alot of fun to get the 6 Sockets on it :)
Why 6? Cause with 6 Sockets you have 3 possibilities to get that to a 5L.
Still stuck on lvl 74 though.
Now the next step is to get the Dream Fragments and the Eye.
For all guys who is thinking about giving up. I think it is fully understandable. I did this thing:
started new Char, my "Shotgun" Witch. She is now lvl 46. I plan to get her till 60-70, as my second main char. With new char you can always farm more currency for your Shadow. I think it is deadly for the fun, to focus just on one Char, cause always everything good is costing so much, try different play styles.
