Hello, I wanted to have some input on what I should get next, item wise, and maybe skill wise as well. I am currently lvl 55 and I have about 1k life and 600 ES with discipline, I do about 1k LS damage when I turn hatred on (I use only those 2 auras for now) and around 70ish elemental resists. Currently I'm farming Docks in Act 3 Cruel but I guess it's time to move on, I've farmed some currency and bought some items (like Sin Trek for 10 Chaos), I got maybe 40-50 chaos worth stash, so now I have to prepare for the next step and I'd like someone with experience to tell me what to get - should I try to go for 6Ls chest? Or settle with 5L? Pure ES or hybrid ES/EV, in preparation for CI? However, the more important parts of LS damage are your dagger and, very important, your LS links and other skill gems! My dagger is level 53 required but does almost 200 max physical damage at 1.45 aps. I don't see Warlord's Mark anywhere on there; use it for the mana/life leech! Haste is the last aura I'd use; Hatred and especially (with low dps weapon) Wrath give more dps and can almost cost less (together!) than Haste, which as it says, is a 10% attack speed bonus (10% increased dps at most if it is multiplicative with other sources, not additive, but that's also 10% more mana/second used by LS...). Using Warlord's Mark, you could replace your Life Leech on Lightning Strike with a Weapon Elemental Damage support and gain a very large amount of dps. Also, I fully support getting a decent quality (as high as you can afford/find) Lightning Strike so you can drop pierce and replace it with Faster Attacks. Edit: BTW, this CI Crit Dagger Shadow is/was my 'primary' (highest level) character and first build - so I've done it with bad gear and such. So I may not be an expert, but I'm speaking from experience; I've been that guy in the party, wearing half magic items and using as many auras as I can afford because that's the best way for me to help the party of better-geared players. Hello, and firstly thanks for the nice guilde. I've tried this build over the bast 3-4 days. I'm level 55-ish. I have no quality gems and till 53 I had really bad gear. I managed to finish cruel with about 1.4k HP and 200~ ES. Wasn't pleasent :D For those who also struggle with poor/average gear I'd recommend summon skeleton + spell totem, and fire trap with whirling blades on top for AoE instead of LS. I found it hard to survive when I used LS so I just level up the gems for the skill and links when I get higher. My only 4-link skill is dual strike to finish mobs and kill stronger individuals. It's a bit slower but gets the job done quite well and keeps you alive and it's more mana friendly if you don't have much mana leech. By the time I got to act 2 on merciless I got some decent items and I'm starting to like the build more and more. I'd say that it's worth the nerve-wrecking act 3 on cruel. It's just a warlord's mark and my replacement only needs to be level 1. A negligible expense compared to the rest of this build. Highest has been lvl70 and it was quite easy because of party and party's summons. I don't know if it's even profitable to farm lower level maps alone. I do have surplus of maps and I can get a map party whenever I have time, so I don't care about "wasting a map". But if the risk of dying alone in map is far greater than dying in Docks, it's not worth it exp-wise. Gear Passive skill tree What is your es total in battle with discipline up? Keep your gems lower level than max, just deal with it :) 100 str is a good place to stop, that's where you will generally be. and for the hell of it, just to show off and inspire...
