In response to how "GGG always addresses anything Evasion related"
" This, I gave up on explaining it to the OP a long time ago. To those discussing Evasion as RNG. Yes, potentially (mathematically) with stunlock evasion CAN be a better option (are you factoring in its ONLY melee hits with this hit/miss ratio, and that its not including dodge from acrobatics?). But this is only mathematically. The problem comes in execution. Lets say that there is a situation where RNG allows you to dodge the situation 95 times out of 100. That 5% chance of dying is too much, and it results in it being unusable on HC at all, because 5% of the time its a gaurenteed death from taking all the hits in a row. Regardless of how GOOD the situation is on average, it is the exceptions, the outliers, the multiple hits in a row. These things make RNG too dangerous as it is no longer reliable. Say what you will about a 60% chance meaning that you will get hit 4 times out of 10 gaurenteed, it means that you KNOW you will dodge the 4, so if you can tank 6 hits (total life + passive regen + life leech + mitigation), then you are okay. But if you can only tank 6 hits, and RNG rolls you a 7th hit because its NOT reliable, well then you are in dire straights. The removal of RNG is a BAD idea. It has always been a bad idea. But for some reason the OP doesn't seem to understand, I wonder if he ever played before it turned to entropy. | |
I agree with the OP, RNG must return, because the entopy's guaranteed hits will kill you, and the current chance to evade is way too low. Even with Acrobatics + a shield, you will get tons of hits, and they in higher difficulties mean death. (My onslaught char is an armor/eva char with acrobatics)
If multiple oppenets hit you, they can stunlock you, with the entropy system too... Beta member since 0.9.5 HC Last edited by Gergoo2 on Jun 22, 2013, 12:05:27 PM
