Going to agree with whiteboy here. This is cheating no matter what kind logical BS anyone tries to use to pretend it's not.
I've played alot of competitive fps games in the past. Seen and used alot of different scripts. There were scripts that let you crouch for instance without having to hold down the button. Or lowered your sensitivity when you pulled out a certain wpn. These were considered fair play because it was not beyond human capability to do these things manually, and did not offer any clear cut advantage over anyone else. There were also scripts that did things like time your shots so bullets don't spread or rapid fire a pistol 15 shots per second or auto-adjust your aim to head level. These were frowned upon and considered cheating despite not specifically saying so in the TOS of the game, everyone knew it was cheating. They were things that got people kicked for using in servers and banned from leagues. This is the point where he line is then crossed and every fps player knew this line. Just like every arpg player knows it when it comes to these types of games. Just like you tehHammer knew it. By the way I do think it was pretty clever to name your bot remotecontrolled incase you got caught it would be that much easier to pretend like you werent trying to hide anything. Now you go around merc chat giving away items as if u ever gave a shit about the rest of the community. I'm happy your rep as a legit player is tarnished despite your efforts to blow it off like you were testing, or it's the game's fault for allow it or all the other sad excuses you have. Im not gonna bother quoting some massive post and look like a protroll BUT
Tehhammer : you cannot sit here and justify to the ppl that running what basically is a buy/organize script with the loot that you already have in your stash is the same as running a script that allows u to access the vendor for new socketed loot that you currently DONT have, break this nonsense down to scripting/coding w/e you wanna call it, its milking an exploit..and its unethical.. If i ran a script (which i never have/considered/have the iq) that wanted to convert my alts up for me cause i had 1000 thats not cheating...because in my opinion what this game lacks is a quick buy option at vendor, just like u can select more than 1 orb when seperating, if you had a 200 alts u could shift+buy 100 jewelers and so on, perhaps this is some peoples way of dealing with this situation ..fine..have it YOUR way, but dont sit here and bs us with the idea that its the same action, cause its not..upgrading/converting already obtained or possessed loot is one thing, running back and forth 500 times with a script for new loot u never had is entirely different, its greed strickened intentions. |

This post is just getting crazy.
It's closed beta, he found an exploit, the devs found out about it, exploit fixed, end of topic. Bots and automation will exist forever, if ya gets caught, you pay the price. I use a Logitech G700 and a Logitech G15. Trust me I use a lot of macros. I have played with AutoIT a lot and can think of 10 scripts off the top of my head that I could try if I wanted to. I managed an ISP for 8 years, I know a lot about scripting. I can do it, a lot of people out there know way way more than me, so if I can do it there are thousands of more people that can do it better. Dead subject, let it die. Once in Open Beta I agree to hang the bastards out to dry, but in Closed beta, all bets are off. PS, I just don't do bots because I enjoy the game and the challenge of chance. It's not fun to have a guaranteed win .....And that's all I have to say about that.
