Dragon's Immortal Tank (Updated for 1.2)

Updated the guide as best I could. Added a new section for the adaptation of the build as new items and patches enable/require changes. This section includes some of the changes and experiences with Soul Taker.

Also added Juhazzz's vids to the more videos section ^_^ as well as adding a couple of valuable posts that got buried to a new section under the FAQ.

i have seen some video of boss fight and lunaris 3 but none about map farm or party play and from what i saw so far...dmg seem a bit low...

15-20k dps kills pre-70 mobs in a fraction of a second.

70-74 mob packs die in about a second or so.


solo of course.

i ususually play with 2 other friends and we are doing 71-76maps i have 16k dps and i feel like thats enought.

Finally 6L armor glorius plate! :)

i only need the Soul Taker now :D

do you think i can make an end game build with 17 ex?

i would be looking to use aegis shield, soul taker and bringer of rain if i can buy with 17 ex?

What is more rewardable?

Buying the Soul Taker

I am enjoying the build more and more, although still without AA.
I had a fun time yesterday, when I did maybe 10-12 docks runs in a public party (5-6 man). At one point we had 3 dual sporkers, so there go 6 totems and the screen is crawling with white for the next 10 seconds - absolutely ridiculous (interestingly enough the game was very smooth fps-wise the whole time).

In a 5 man party my dps is almost non-existent, but the point is I semi-enjoyed watching my fellow party members drop like flies to voidbearers many times, while I remained unscratched, playing with 1 finger, swinging my axe basically just for show. This way of playing is new to me, as I played a kiting bow ranger before. It was hilarious.

It felt like a "You can't be killed but you can't deal damage either" mode. I wonder if the fact that I started using a +2 lgoh ring is a factor here. The +2 life gain seems very small, but I'm not sure how the melee splash is treated here, so it might be a substantial boost to survivability after all.

Overall - good times, looking forward to even more good times later.

you cant use loh / life leech / blood magic like that, which means you either remove wed or else you defo need a Soul taker, and then its ironic you should be talking about cheap option for helm when you want a ST axe anyway xD

WED is only sometimes better than added fire. For any phys skill added fire is beter! And I’m using DB.
Blind is almost useless. OK so what? BOR is useless because of this?
I can use loh and LL with BOR but with this build is a waste! Blood Magic gem? I was using mana. It cost me 2 skill points, 2% mana leech on ring and 3 auras instead of 4. 30% more dps gained and no 200 life loosing per click!
BOR is a chip option and ST axe has nothing to do with it. I was using facebreakers (better dps than with ST axe). Good 6L chest is 20+ exalteds. I tested BOR and my craft 6L. I sold the chest and kept BOR :) http://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/443287
And lol you really need more arm/es/res from chest and helmet to be tanky with that build? Even with BOR, I never use granite to level 74 maps.
My opinion for all players:
• If you have 0 ex this build is too expensive.
• If you have 5-6 ex is OK. Buy: Bringer of Rain, Aegis Aurora and Facebreakers (use IB on mana – 20k dps, immortal mode on).
• If you have 20-30 ex buy ST axe – use Dominating Blow (no worry with ele reflect, super fun with minions and theirs auras: 7k ES, immortality, +100% move speed…)
• If you have 50ex + maybe buy ARM/ES 6L but the difference is marginal. Answer the question if you really like to spent 20-30ex for so small difference.

Nice :3 :3 Could make more videos, but i'm kinda bored atm, mostly because of the really really bad RNG lately, well can't count that Lioneye's bow i found, but can't count that in, as it's on selfuse on my iiq/iir -ranger. So no profit out of it :)

That 76 Crematorium boss, hmm I think i'll make a video of that today, with Unwavering Stance and without it, i'm not a video-editing genious, but could propably combine them together somehow
