I'm new to this game. I have 0 gear and 0 curency. Would I be able to get this build to work? Yes, I read the first page and it says that is is possible but slow and frustrating. Anyway, has anyone tried this build selfound? How was is goin?

it might be possible but i dont suggest it.end game equip that really make the build shine cost ALOT.aegis aurora are 4-5 exalte.5-6L also many exalte, soul taker 15 exalte +.starting with nothing can be fine at the begening since you only need 2 cheap unique that worth 1-2 chaos each but the true end-game stuff that really make the build shine isnt easy to get.

What do you guys think of the anvil amber unique amulet? I have rainbowstrides - so without the stone of lahzar or w/e its called and with the anvil amulet, I have 34% spell block. Using the stone ammy, I have i think 58 or close to 60% spell block. But that anvil unique seems pretty decent for this build (+400-500 armour, 40 life and 20 mana gained when blocking, 10% block chance)

I think that neck is great IF you don't own an Aegis Aurora. If you happen to have AA then that neck is a total waste of a slot since 99% of the time your health pool remains at 100%. I can see that neck becoming very valuable in later expansions when AA is no longer current endgame gear, in fact I have begun playing around with some ideas to build around it in the future in case a new badass shield makes it into the game :)

you can but aegis aurora is wath make this build uber tanky,6L+soul taker is what make you able to do good dps.

on a 4L without soul taker im at 3k dps now at lvl 82.with 5L il be at like 4k5.3k is decent for solo but in party, i feel useless since i do next to no dmg.

its still pretty good without those top unique but nothing like when you get them.your dps will be really really low without good stuff at end-game

I agree with zak on this one. You don't have to be super rich to do this build!!! I'm only using Aegis Aurora and decent (not great) 5L Hybrid Armor/Evasion chest. My dps is around 5.8k with solid Siege Axe that I found (still exaltable but I'm not rich... lol).

My gear: It's not great but "super" tanky and so far, I'm okay with the dps. Still hoping for a miracle Soul Taker drop or that elusive 6L. =]

I was wondering if Iron Reflexes is still desirable although the recent change does not convert dexterity to evasion rating and therefore into more armor. According to the gear you have, it will only add 144 armor from the evasion rating. Wouldn't that small amount of evasion rating from the dexterity be more useful than the 144 armor and the used 3-4 points?

this build use grace aura and with iron reflexe, its a big armor boost.i tried remouving iron reflexe to test and,i was losing about 6-7k armor(grace only lvl 15) going from 57% dmg reduction to 38%.we could have get 3 endurance charge with those extra point for 12% dmg reduction but....it would put us at 50% dmg reduction,so 7% less.overall, iron reflexe still remain the best.

You cannot really use any evasion, even unconverted to iron reflexes, IF you got unwavering stance. Of course, you can always not pick IR and US but then you will be more prone to stuns, and have substantially less armor. And I think you would need lots of evasion to have a good evade chance. I think block is enough avoidance.

you either have lots of % armor in nodes or some nice evasion gear :) 6-7k from IR alone is a lot, even with determination on

My Gear at the moment:
Spoiler

Only have 2 Questions:

1.) Why you guys dont have picked up Immortal Call + more Endu charges?
My Skilltree is at the moment:

Have to pick up that stupid 2x 30 Int because I dont have any on my Gear :(....

2.) I´m playing Hardcore, what is the worst case i have to watch out? Dont wanna die with that gear.
