Thanks for the quick reply. What exactly makes it better for survival though? that 120% spell block could be handy considering the high block chance would it not? and how does the 20% phys dam compare to the 20% ele dam? Also, what would be the price range on both those shields?

" The ES on block from AA is what makes the build so great. I think the damage would be a tad higher on AA too. For prices, I have no idea. I think on standard you can get an AA for 2 exalt roughly. For Daresso's, I cant say. DISCLAIMER!

Ok I see the benifits of AA from that ES but as an affordable replacement for now would it be a good alternative if i could get one for lets say a couple gcp (no idea on the price of these)?

" Well, sure. Just realize the build was built around AA and it will not be nearly as good w/o one. I would save my currency for an AA, and use crest of perandus until then. It is what I did. If you can find a daresso's for cheap, that is a different story. DISCLAIMER!

I started at templar however I still want to do this build again. Anything that I should do differently compared to mara start?

So first want to say I love this build, it makes melee fun in this game. I am doing a variation of this build using Bringer of Rain and have a question.
Does anyone have any thoughts on Unwavering Stance vs Blind from BoR? I used Unwavering for so long thinking it was mandatory but have since been questioning that logic. I am running with 3300hp and 8900 armor without Granite. With Unwavering Stance it seemed the only issue for me thus far was Kole who would "occasionally" 2 shot me if he got 2 lucky hits in a row to bypass block. I instead tried dropping Unwavering and dancing with him for a second until Blind kicked in at which point his chance to hit me would drop from 1/4 to 1/16 'ish due to 75% block and then 75% evade. The problem is that if he does get that 1/16 shot on me it is pretty much a guaranteed stun, but if he then has another 1/16 chance to hit me again that stun may not matter much. Anyone else done any testing with Bringer of Rain and Unwavering vs no Unwavering and benefiting from the Blind on BoR? |
