I would say it's not much viable because the core of this build is 1h and shield to have a good % block chance. However if u feel u can handle packs with 2h with good Life Leech and good armor maybe would work fine in terms of dps. Let's ask about it to Dragon, he will have better knowledge about that than me but it's mi personal opinion.
About Fire damge affect IB: Yes it does, if u are going to full phisical damage on your weapon. Added fire dmg apply pretty well with pure fisical because of the % added as fire from physical dmg.

Let's see what dragon thinks about that, just saying my personal opinion.

this build is nowhere easy to lvl. dmg is kinda okay, but sustain sucks hard. cant even run docks solo merci with lvl 62

when i run without blood magic im permanently out of mana and if i play with bm ill kill myself.

This build requires that shield and a helmet is pretty good for it. This build must be very expensive.
What are Bringer of Pain/Aegis Aurora prices in Onslaught/Hardcore???

The original build does not require a bringer of rain helmet. Dragon is very successful without it. The primary gear is aegis aurora and stone of lazhwar. Bringer of Rain is a variant that some of us have found to work well.

You must be doing something wrong.

I have a 63 in Merci onslaught and don't really have much of a problem in docks.

The dps of the build heavily relies on a high phys dmg weapon, maybe thats where you are having the problem?

I currently do not have the covenant blood magic chest, so I run vitality, hatred, grace and tempest shield. I have about 3.5k dps.

I have over 4k dps, damage is not the problem. Sustain is.

Hey guys! Wow, I have to admit I am really jealous of all of you with bringer of rain! That helm is so amazing and I want to test it so badly. Thanks so much for all of you guys that took the time to post your comparisons with bringer of rain. That was very cool of you all.

I will be updating the leveling guide later on when I get some time. I am in the process of moving over the weekend so I won't have a bunch of time. But I can say that after my attempts at leveling the build in onslaught I do have some ideas to help out first time players on how to level this build WAY faster than what I currently suggest in the guide.

Hope you guys are all still enjoying the build! I know I get antsy when playing other chars and want to hope back on my mara almost instantly :P

Updated the OP to include a much better leveling guide in addition to adding more to the "effects of patch 0.11.0" tab pertaining to the hp/sec nerf and how it effects bm users.

Also added an FAQ section under the OP since I get cranky answering the same questions repeatedly :P

Intresting build that im currently following. As im somewhat new to the game i like that its easy to follow. But i feel like the first lvls so far have mostly been running around with a 2hander. Havent got any good 1handers so thats why.. :)

But i hope to get myself a nice 1hand/shield combo as fast as possible. But il probably die now when im playing onslaught before il get my hands on some goodies :D
