Z's **0.9.12** LS CI GR! Spec

Can someone tell me how much dps usually we can get close to lvl 70 with that build?
Bret you linked a thread that discusses Elemental Equilibrium, thats completely different & I dont want anyone to be confused.

Unavailable

Elemental status effects caused by supported skills spread to other enemies

Say you freeze & then shatter a mob at the front of an oncoming horde. It leaves a circular radius around the location which it died in. Inside this radius, any enemy which walks into get FROZEN too. This can stop an oncoming rush ..err..cold.

Crit strikes can trigger elemental effects.

If a mob is affected by burning/shocked/frozen/chilled & dies while under those effects, it leaves a diabolical radius with those effects.

So, I'm looking to run this build/one like it, but I'm relatively inexperienced at PoE, so I'm looking for some tips on how to level with it.

What should I look for on my gear? Is it a better idea to run dagger/shield or dual daggers? What active skills are good early game, since lightning strike isn't very efficient until later?

What kind of direction should I head in first on the passive tree?

Thanks!

For leveling mostly energy shield and a combination a bit on evasion, but mostly energy shields.

Id suggest to do normal dificulty with dual-wielding, but as soon as you see yourself dying to fast or not able to sustain your damage get a shield with high ES.

I stuck around flicker a lot with frenzy. I also had Whirlwind blades as an escape tool. But is mainly up to you this build wasn't meant for leveling. Try and experiment lvl 1-40.

I can successfully say go to north in the heart of Witch starting point, (mainly for CI)- by the time you get ur CI you should be able to have 300-400 ES. Make sure when u get CI ur 31 and have Discipline gem for the extra ES and if you can get your hand on Blood Rage you will be set.

LOL, now i see when this build really shines, im Crit Shattering everything at lvl 43, i hit 1450 Dps with Wrath and ppl at the same level as me hit like 400 - 600 dps, so yeah, its pretty strong. But im having an issue that, shit, annoys me like crazy, its the mana. Even with 5% mana leach my mana runs out so quickly. I dont understand, how does that mana leach work because i was suppose to be leaching at least 70 mana a hit (5% * 1450), so ppl can u explain me this?

Thank you.

There are two categories for mana leech. All damage & Physical Damage. Mine are split 3% & 3%. Find a high dmg dagger to increase the amount leeched. Admittedly enemies with strong es, or hordes of enemies in normal es causes problems. Look for mana pots or flasks with instant recovery, I eat em up like skittles.

Its unconventional, but if you have the links & the gems, support shield charge with mana leech. One good smash & you are topped off at full mana.

I started with a shadow as my first character adn after biffing up his build, I decided to remake.

I found this build and absolutely love it (was painful until I got projectile pierce, now its rediculous) However I have a few questions:

1) I'm also curious how a level 43 has 1450 dps on LS when mine's only at 250 at level 40. does ele damage really make that huge of a difference? O.o

2) if I'm trying to farm with this build for orbs (to obviously improve armor/find gems) where would you recommend I go for such a job? I'm hopping back and forth between The Forest and River Crossings but I'm not finding very many gems at all.

3) I'm getting MAJORLY starved in my gear because of the current 71 STR requirement for LS, and I'm finding I can't upgrade pretty much any of my gear because I need the small +12 or so STR thats currently on the item I want to upgrade. There's also no STR points in your build (other than that high level might), so I'm wondering how you cope with this problem early on

I just found elemental damage and my god were you right about it being crucial. It took my LS dps from 245 to 635 =O

I'm now curious how you manage your mana issues. I can understand mana leach and potions helping, but 39 mana per cast with only 260 available mana (after discipline) is PRETTY steep >.<

Yeah it does really huge difference, if you can look for paua rings with some elemental damags or even phys, the important thing is to get for this build is that extra 1-99 damage Properties that comes with items like Gloves, Rings, Ammulets, Weapons. A belt with % weapon elemental damage is a huge upgrade to improve the damage. Get those 30+ str White Belts and try do Orb of chance or Alchemy them untill u get these %weapon elemental damage. LvL 50 and 2k DPS but my survivability is shitty as hell. I have to walk so carefully to not get 2 shoted and i can kill things in 1 or 2 shots. Not using CI yet cus my ES is only 300, so its not worth it yet.

Yes! This whole build revolves around overwhelming elemental dmg. Items with a range of dmg, like 1-68 light dmg amplifies ALOT when you have enough increased lightning dmg % & weapon elemental dmg % & elemental dmg %. LS utilizes all elements so any increase, cold % on a ring or +fire dmg on gloves all impact LS dmg. This is the MAX part of min/max :)

I like Fellshrine. I like it alot. Stack quant % & go there. Also farm ledge. Keep in mind however good quant gear with dps is hard to come by & will always be hard to come by. Test & experiment to get your dps up so you can be efficient as possible. Gear & orbs will eventually drop for you.

Find a ring, belt, neck with str. Or an Onyx Ammy with +str on top of its base value. Thats the best way.

Mana regen % on gear helps alot. Im seeing this mod more & more on good jeweelry which is encouraging.
