Z's **0.9.12** LS CI GR! Spec

The farming spots were mentioned a few posts back. The Ledge, Fellshrine Ruins and Pyramids. The Ledge is the zone after the Submerged Passage in Act 1 and it has a waypoint. Fellshrine Ruins is in Act 2 and branches off from the Crossroads. The easy way to be able to access it continually is from the Church Dungeon 1 waypoint. Pyramids is at the end of Act 2 and is accessed via the Waterfall Caves 2 waypoint.

To get 'optimal' experience from any place is to be two levels below the area level. Once you level above the area level, your experience starts to drop off. However, due to the high density of enemies and frequent champ packs and elites, it makes them good places to get experience and loot.
What Should i use to level up this build untill high end game, cus Using This Build early on, i have quite bad time running out of mana and getting hit like shit. Thank you
I've Been looking at your build. Made a few changes that you may want to look at.

I removed BloodThirst & all nodes leading up to it giving me 7 points to spend.

the nodes i removed were:
40 Int (4 Nodes)
60% Crit Chance (2 Nodes)
10% Crit multiplier (1 node)

Instead i gave you:
60% Crit chance (4 Nodes)
10% Crit Multiplier & 4% Dagger dmg (1 node)
10 Int (1 node)
30 Dex (1 Node)

you loose 30 Int. You Gain 4% Dagger phys dmg & 30 Dex.


Also Here are some Additional Changes.


I Removed:
14% Lightning dmg & 5% Shock chance (2 Nodes)
20% Fire dmg & 5% Burn Chance (3 Nodes)
14% Cold dmg & 5% Freeze Chance (2 Nodes)
40% Spell Crit chance. (1 Node)
12% ES & 16 Evasion (2 Nodes)


I Gave you:
20% Crit Chance (1 node)
20% Dagger phys dmg & 10% Crit multiplier. (3 Nodes)
16% ES (2 Nodes)
12% Projectile dmg (2 Nodes)
10% Elemental dmg. (2 Nodes)

I Took 20% Dagger Physical damage over your fire/Lightning/Ice dmg nodes as i noticed that your using "Added fire dmg" Support gem to support your lightning strike. it will basically give you a increase of 20% Phys + +7,2% Fire dmg.
I also Chose to take 10% More 'Elemental dmg' ontop of that as it increases all those elements with only 2 points spent. Lightning strike also uses 50% of your physical dmg for Lightning dmg.

Lightning Strike creates projectiles (They are increased by a Lesser Increased projectiles support gem) so i took the path with 2 +6% Projectile dmg to get to the +10% Elemental dmg.

You had 2 points spent on 6% (12%) ES with 8% (16%) Evasion, Considering your using a Armor & ES as well as CI, I Chose to respent those points into two 8% (16%) ES instead. However this may be a bad choice as I do not know all your armour types.

Upon finding more of your gear I realize how bad idea the ES change was.

How is this even possible? I guess after you finished the content through the difficulties? Becaus as of now I outlevel content by at least 5 levels, without ANY grinding whatsoever, just playing along, doing the quests, beating the bosses. I am lvl 39 on act2 Cruel and areas are inhabitated with lvl 34s and 35s, some even 33s! ....
Do they want you to rush through areas, skipping packs, finding the gate to the next? Because as it seems, when I actually clear areas, and explore every nook and cranny (and that's how I guess most play ARPGs?), my level raises way too much.

LoL, im at level 26 and i cant even shoot 4 lightning Strikes and i run out of mana. Dont know how to level with this build, its quite impossible. If someone could give me a hint about what skills to take so i can progress without having so much problem. Thank you
Heya Bret thanks for providing an in-depth alternative to spark more ideas. Unfortunately I wont be able to test these options as that many regrets is unrealistic. However, if someone does go this path we would all like to hear how it stands up in endgame.

Bret I wouldn't remove Shock/Blaze/Freeze. They are just too useful in the higher lvl maps. Chilled & Frozen is a great CC. Shocked boosts incoming dmg. Burning + Adders is a real killer. Especially against ranged targets & when kiting very strong opponents. Replacing Crit Chance with Elemental Proliferation wreaks havok on massive pack sizes of magic creatures.

Taking all those elemental dmg % away is not something I would consider. Any +lightning dmg from gear skyrockets dps. Heck I equipped the boots Wake of Destruction which gives 1-120 Lightning Dmg. Dps went up 700 on light strike! In farm gear no less. Yeah dont mess with the elemental nodes if you want LS to remain devastating. Any elemental dmg from gear gives major boosts to dps because it is amplified by all the elemental passives.

In general, more Phys damage is always welcome as it provides more mana leeched back. If flicker strike or another phys ability were integral to this build taking more phys & crit dmg would make more sense.

Choosing to not take the last 2 ES & Evasion as Jozen did can be a way to boost dps as you level. I like having passives on stand-bye so to speak, they are there if you need them.

Jozen can probably give more current advice on leveling with this spec. The skill tree was drastically different when I was figuring all this out & my experience was not the same as yours is now.

I should point out that at this point I am optimizing this build around completing end game maps with 118-144% quantity. My dps is extremely nerfed when compared to the potential. The added fire & additional crit chance supports are replaced with IIQ & IIR. LS is at 4.2k without them.

I have been testing using lesser multi projectiles & culling strike. The destruction wrought would make a Sith Lord smile.

Taking mana leech out stings tho. Im literally using shield charge tied to mana leech to regain mana. Its completely not safe on 62+ maps in farm gear but 1 good pop on a target & mana is completely recovered. Im burning orbs trying to get gloves with 1% mana leech.

Ive been pumping GCP into & leveling culling strike. This gem is amazing. Right now the attack speed penalty is removed entirely & it boosts LS dmg by 17% roflol. Once i get my hands on a LMP with quality to knock down the 150% mana cost LS will be much more efficient.

Current lightning strike link for farming. LMP is vanilla & low level. Can't manage the mana in certain 62 maps & mana leech is required. Culling Strike is wtf lol gg good in endgame.
