[Camera] It's too close!
" I can't say for sure if this is the issue, but it's a big difference I've noticed between D3 and POE's graphics. Again, not 100% sure if I'm right, or even if I am, if this is the issue, but here goes: D3's environmental graphics are very clever in their design; you'll probably have to zoom in and walk around a bit to see it, but most of the graphics are flat 2D tiles, well drawn, and interspersed with 3D elements to give the appearance of full 3D. As far as I can tell, however, all or nearly all of POE's environmental graphics are full 3D. If there's any reason why POE would take more system resources, this is why. |

GGG thank you for all the great things you are doing. You have combined every element of all other great Rpg's and joined them together as one Diamond, that will shine Forever. This is coming straight from the heart <3 Last edited by Farystar#1705 on Jun 12, 2013, 1:56:04 AM

" Ranged isn't so easy mode when you have a 4:3 monitor. I pretty much have to fight everything right in my face since that's all I can see. |

To zoom out in case you lose your place (if the mouse fails) is use the PAGE UP and PAGE DOWN buttons on your keyboard. After doing that, the zoom is fine. If it's still not fine to you, well, I don't know what to tell you.
The reason GGG isn't giving players a ridiculous amount of view perspective is because they want it so there's an element of surprise of what's going to come next. If you had an almost infinite view of a very large portion of the map, the game will not only seem smaller, but the surprise effect would go to Hell. When game developers ignore the criticism that would improve their game, the game fails. Just because a game receives a great amount of praise vs. only a small amount of criticism does not mean to call it a day and make a foolish misplaced assumption that it is perfect. " Not only is that not max graphics, but it's also a low resolution. That being said, i really do hate how you suddenly are in way more danger when you decide to walk down instead of up in this game. Poorly thought out. Last edited by Xendran#1127 on Jun 17, 2013, 7:00:44 PM

I think this post made a lot of noise and that the "owners" had to do something, and very quickly and not to take it like a barrier that "we will have that resolved soon and they have better things to do", no, this should be solved immediately!!

bump, add z.out range pls.this is the biggest thing pushing me from the game.no,i dont want any advantage, the harder this game is the happier i am.but thats not the real complexity/difficulty,its just annoying to the point where i stopped playing and trying to find another good arpg(no rsults tho).ppl who are interested keep bumping

The camera is perfect in this game. You can see more in the outdoor zones and you see less in the cave type zones. Perfect!

cant be bothered reading this whole thread. I know the devs have said the current camera distance is constrained by engine optimisation etc and its something they will look at when they streamline stuff more, presumably the whole rendering side of things.
However I would +1 the idea of the camera being zoomed out a further say 20% of the current distance from the player, maybe more like 25%, and projectile ranges and targeting etc to be adjusted accordingly. Just in case the devs are reading and taking a mental note of what the community thinks moving forward. |
