[Camera] It's too close!

TLDR (As Max said, the game is totally playable and pointed out that they fixed the problem of getting shot by mobs you couldn't see. Now, you can only shoot as far as the screen zooms out (and vice versa for the mobs)

/rant on

I can't believe this is still an issue with it seems like 10 people who post it over and over again.

A: GGG has delivered more content since release than ANY game company I've ever seen. Heck, I had to take two months off from work and it's completely a different game now. One of my friends gave me a bunch of new gems and gear and I didn't know what most of them were.

B: This is a minor issue considering that GGG has been improving desync, graphics, content, balancing, and a ton of other stuff. If it bothers you so much that there is a further viewing difference at a lower resolution, then use the lower resolution. Personally, they fixed the main problem (as stated by chris's response on page 5) where before, you could get shot by mobs that were off screen. that isn't the case anymore, you can see who's shooting you now.

C: GGG has really created a top of the line game with limited resources. To me, the zoom is perfect. I can see the mobs that want to kill me, but yet still wonder what's around the corner. My archer can shoot only as far as the zoom allows anyway, so how is that wrong?

D: Once again, just seems like the same few people bringing it up every month, rather than joining the rest of us in celebrating how much time, content, and polish GGG has brought to the game in the past 5 months. Anyone who played a year ago knows that this is a TOTALLY different game, and anyone who joined at launch also knows this.

Technical limitations prevent them for doing what you want for now, and as Chris stated, right now it's not a priority or really at the top of their list. They have way more things to do with their small staff (like um act 3.5 coming and then act 4?????)

So switch to the lower resolution if you hate the view distance. It doesn't look much different than 1900 by 1280.

/rant off.
Game needs monkey pets.

Didn't see a more recent topic, so this one seemed the best place for me to comment. I find the zoom to be fine the way it is. However, my issue is with mobs that can target you from well off-screen. (And by well off-screen, I mean by up to two screens away.)

While being able to zoom out more might seem like a solution (and is probably the most desired reason for having greater zoom), it does create more problems than it solves, plus it diminishes the overall game experience, being zoomed out too far all the time.

My suggestion therefore is to reduce the distance that ranged mobs can target you. If you can see them, then they can see you and both the player and the mob should be able to target one another. Giving one or the other a huge targeting range advantage takes the fun out of the game.

Now yes, certain ranged attacks can travel beyond the edge of the screen. Fabulous. But those attacks cannot be TARGETED at that range. As a player you have to guess where you opponent might be. The same should be true for mobs.

Supporting the restoration of the Scion's original dialogue.

The solution would be to change the angle abit more and experiment with that, similar to D series. But GG has decide for it's uniqe angle approach, will see what happens in the future :).
GGG thank you for all the great things you are doing. You have combined every element of all other great Rpg's and joined them together as one Diamond, that will shine Forever.

This is coming straight from the heart <3

This approach is giving good results in almost all the areas. Except a1 Coves and areas with trees.

Yeah, that definitely was improved xD
And worst change is putting almost all bosses in new version of maps into fucking small areas, where you can't kite well or dodge stuff. What a terrible idiot invented that I want say to him: dude flick you, seriously flick you very much.
The close camera is horrible i quit the game because of that too.

i am playing diablo 3 and Marvel heroes now and have a blast just because i see more and better than on PoEs close tight view.

if POEs camera view ever gets 25% further zoom out i come back......

No, please don't come back !!!
Zoom is perfect , and zoom level can be very easily selected with mouse wheel or keyboard page up page down keys.
Zoom is horrible, i dont need to explain why, because alot of others explained clearly why.

Im hoping for an Option for Players to have more control of Zoom, let the Player choose which distance he wants to zoom, its his computer, his playstyle, so please think hard about this.

I know its your Game and you make the Rules, but we ( playerbase ) make the biggest difference for you by playing your Game so please show us your kindness and listen to us just for this Zoom-Problem.

Thank you if you read and care for this GGG Staff
