[Camera] It's too close!
I totally agree with this suggestion that was also my first impression of the game the "tactical" overview over battlefield is too small .. I would say an overall zoom out for about 20-30% would be appreciated. I have 24" and max resolution .. but i think resolution just makes the textures sharper but what is missing is the best gameplay - feel :) I guess I am repeating something said 20 times before me but just to support this idea ;) For example a practical thing I cannot port downwards the same distance as upwards because interface blocks the view ;) so let´s make it more spacy ;)
A short note for those who want to play with close look up, just zoom in and lock the view. Yes there should be a "lock view" option added too ;) so everyone can adjust as needed. Limit the range of skills so noone will get benefits from zooming out just tactical view and that´s it. And when comparing to diablo 2 .. i would like peopple to understand that not every game can be compared to legendary diablo .. in my opinion it was PERFECT so if this game wanted to bring everything what we expected from D2 than first of all take all the good stuff and add more of it! :) Last edited by Thealux#3996 on Nov 30, 2013, 1:51:23 PM

" They cannot move camera out another 20-30% are you high you know how much would that overload servers not to mention, they would have to optimize entire texture and how engine renders more details at once. Fps would go down even on monster machines. Maybe they can stil go like 2-3% out max, but i doubt they can do more or even this at this stage. GGG thank you for all the great things you are doing. You have combined every element of all other great Rpg's and joined them together as one Diamond, that will shine Forever. I have a simple solution for ranged characters. GGG could add a key that when pressed enable us to look around character, visible area size would be the same so no fps drop, just when pressed player's character would not be in the middle of screen for that time.

the problem I experienced is with lightning warp I can warp further than is my visibility range .. so either limit the skill or make it find a closest "free" place to port if you click on a place and there is a box it will port next to it etc =) i really can´t use lightning warp to move down the same way as i warp up.

There will be some improvements next year. @GGG said many times they have future plans for the camera in the future, so heads up.

" Might come back and check out the game next year then, cos currently the overly zoomed camera is so off putting, is stupid i can see further left and right than i can up and down too.. Its a shame cos i really like everything else about the game. |

I'd love to be able to zoom out more. BUT...
But because I am forced to play on very low resolution so my PC can handle the game, being able to zoom out further would, again, force me to lower the resolution even more... because the more I can see, the more 'laggy' the game is, I'm guessing. What a misery. On a related note, though, someone could try to do something about the monsters sniping us from offscreen... That can get pretty annoying at times. |

+1 to this, also applies to pure ele/phy players

Can't believe people are bumping this dead horse issue again. For those who still haven't gotten used to the camera position, try this:
1. Zoom in one or two light taps on the Page Up key. 2. Play that way for 3-7 days, until you've adapted to it. 3. Zoom out back to maximum FoV using the Page Down key. See how much better that feels? Now for those of us who love the challenge and superb graphic details of the game zoomed all the way in, one request to GGG: Please tweak the foreground transparency thresholds on your dungeons and cliff sides to avoid obscuring the player when zoomed in. It's a bit sketchy to have to fight mobs when they're hidden behind foreground walls! |

" LOL what the hell? This is akin to saying play some game that has bad controls using your feet for several days then go back to using your hands. |
