[Camera] It's too close!

Dunno if its been mentioned yet, but we have a new light radius modifier...slightly more zoom out would make that a more useful mod to have. Actually maybe we could reduce the standard light ring 25% and increase the zoom out 25% or so. That would give a decent dark ring on screen that you normally couldn't use until you got more sight radius. Thus range users who want to zoom out to the higher level would need light radius items to make it useful.

Personally I'm not to sure how I feel about this issue, I'm still rather new to the game but thought I would offer a suggestion. Sorry if its already been mentioned, didn't read the entire thread.

This idea is worth considering.

I think they acknowledged an "n-squared" problem with larger view fulstroms, meaning that even small expansions of individual player views result in hugely more information needing to be sent to the client. If they ever come to a day where they're not worried about that, and they can sort the balance issues, that would be nice.
+1 A little more zoom out option.
Man i really hope, they will fix camera to a more pleasant view angle and little zoom out. Would be nice, if they would test it and release it after 0.11 Patch.

I am constantly watching for news, about camera angle and zoom out and it is still not near, i sense. I know what Chris said about it, they want to be more original. But c'mon @Chris game is so awesome and it is sad, that it feels like smacked into the face and too much stress for the eyes.
GGG thank you for all the great things you are doing. You have combined every element of all other great Rpg's and joined them together as one Diamond, that will shine Forever.

tl;dr Dont fix weird aspect ratio bug/exploit until you fix zoom and balancing issues!!!
The main issues are server lags and rendering. The fix is to optimize the data sent/recieved and improve gfx code so rendering even on old machines is possible. Personally I don't see why a yr 2000 pc should be able to play this game.

I understand that players abusing strange aspect ratios are able to see further than others, and this is something we're looking for a good solution for.
I don't think this would be a welcome fix for most ranged classes hell I use an odd aspect ration on even my melee characters that when I maximize my window it feels odd now. Being able to zoom out more should not be this problematic or considered a bug. In fact if I could keep the zoom I get from halving my window on my 1920x1080 but with more view real estate that would be great. Giving up on the issue as something that won't be done soon, when clearly a substantial number of players see this as a problem is a bit daunting. The get-used-to-the-way things are mentality is complete BS.

I do however see it as giving an advantage to people that can run higher zoomout problems especially for ranged classes. More traffic resulting in more lag by way of higher zoom rates should be a pressing issue, a priority fix. Melee vs Ranged disparity another priority, why is it that these types of games are never balanced lol?

Another poster mentioned off screen attacks as part of difficulty, are you kidding? That's like the weird thing with light radius and life, doesn't it make since to have more light when low on life to plan a better retreat? No apparently having low life isn't enough punishment make it n to squared harder for me to be able to survive hehe.

This turned into a major rant for me but I can assure you that dissatisfaction from this issue will affect many of us who play. While I don't have numbers just reading this post and a suggestion with a dev response tells me this is definitely an issue with a substantial percentage of the game pop. I just had to chime in.

+1 more zoomout
Since it was mentioned here the camera angle where the maps point south is annoying, transparency in the UI as a possible fix, or hotkey to hide?

Thank you sir, right on the spot +1 for you !!! Alot of people might not say this, but improved camera angle and little more zoom out, would make all the amazing difference in the world of Path of Exile.
