(28th April) Hardcore Cut-throat Event!

" You can kinda see how to begin with, a lot of us were running pretty solid with each other, though MrF and JoeChip were still pretty far ahead most the time, with Zeris up there too. Unfortunately I was stuck with a shortbow I found on the Ledge all the way up to Fellshrine, which slowed down my progress considerably. It seems like you could (as MrF and JoeChip did) cut down on the luck factor by simply teaming up and killing faster to rely less on gear to be able to output damage. I THINK if you were a gambler, you could probably go faster solo due to teaming up just producing less experience, but you kinda have to find that good weapon to get yourself going. Also of interest, the only skills I had the whole time were lightning arrow and phase run. And I didn't use phase run enough at all. Also only saw one other person the whole time, who left the instance right after entering. |

My strat was to follow a team and look for a good point to kill them, but the group kind of split up so I only got to kill one of them.

Not enough PvP fights to really test it...
we should have some form of permanent open PvP league to insure a lot of feedbacks. I can't, honnestly give a feedback on PvP with such so situationally rare PvP encounters... the invading message is not clear/visible enough (for me). I don't like to be able to "see" other people on the map, it's like we are getting radars, don't you think it'll be funnier without that ? ... nothing

"Yea this will be POE downfall when it come to pvp because they give us limited of time to test thinking they could get all the info down without realizing those played more will destroy anyone and anything in their path without effort. The first thing they need to do is start fresh and put level cap on so each engagment will be fun and fair. Not time played wins. Most importantly open a hardcore cut throat server 24/7 until they get every info down. Including how fast one destroy X with Z class and their level/gears. meh i sound like i'm telling the dev what to do. " Blazin got ganked when Tyrinia turned on him in coves. Me and gangbangkid (yeahpete) were in cavern of woe when Tyrinia turned on our ally. After that gangbangkid went to gank some lowbies and got killed by the first one. " Aha, so you did. I'm thinking the most effective strategy for racing is probably the 2 man that know what they're doing and can adapt to gear drops well. I was running solo the whole time, normal attacks and lightning arrow for any multiple enemies. But... yeah, I'd say we need a longer test that doesn't have rewards for experience, as well as limiting invasion policies to really test the pvp aspect. A lot of us (me included) didn't even really play the cutthroat aspect, beyond the fear of being invaded. I got one person when I went to The Ledge, and they left soon after. I'm sure everyone above me probably had the same experience, as well. |

^^ we were part of a team of 5 as well.
It would definitely be interesting to see how a long term hardcore cut throat played out. |
