(28th April) Hardcore Cut-throat Event!

It will be nice when some of the current issues get addressed. Then this will be more a competition, as opposed to a crap-shoot.

Kind of pointless to deal with parties while solo.
You did well, if you get 1 fast kill of a party member if they are split up, your chances go up significantly. Theres alot of luck involved though because you really want the person you kill to have at least 1 good item (to help you against the other party members)

A lvl 2 of most classes can fight with a lvl 4-5 and not be at too large a disadvantage it's when you hit that 6-7 when a lot of classes reach that first big passive skill that really boosts their power

I'm not sure that came across the first time. Instead of fighting as a level 2, the character would be somewhat higher (if they chose to clear the beach) and be at somewhat less a disadvantage.

Keeping higher levels from killing them doesn't help them get back in the race (behind is behind, all things considered), and the only people lowbies would likely kill would be other lowbies.

I found I kept getting killed by higher levels. Only ever got to level 4 max on one character. Got killed before I even saw who did it or had a chance. Once you die the first time it's hard to get back in and get levels back. I found people were camping in the shore encampment waiting to gank anyone who entered an instance there.

I think if the format is to remain Hardcore then you need to do away with prizes for highest experience completely.

Only have prizes for Kills and actually increase the incentive to come back for more even at low level by giving prizes to the first 5 or 6 of each class in kills of course.

You would however need to put a level limit of sort where a lvl 10 cannot kill a level 5 unless that level 5 is part of a party.
I agree with Coldet. Perhaps some spot prizes as well for 1+, 5+, and 10+ kills. There needs to be incentive for people to keep playing.

I died 63 minutes in at lvl 13 and I just gave up, for what reason would I return? There are no prizes to shoot for that far into the race. Should I restart to get ganked by higher level characters camping Terraces? That's not fun at all.

I feel HC CT really needs a much larger player base to support anything longer than 90mins, and some form of protection against higher levels while still allowing them to pvp with other people around their level so aren't useless after a death 20-30mins in.

In terms of entertainment I personally had a lot more fun in the Default CT league, because people didn't just quit after one death, and while losing all gear hurts a bit it's real easy to grab another set and be back in the action.
I also agree with NotSorry on these points.
I really want to see how a long term default CT league would play out. Don't even need prizes just open for people to go in and go crazy testing everything CT related.

Yeah that would be a good idea.

Was fun until I died. I'll try to make my feedback easy.

1.) PVP may need some balancing. Maybe we need a default pvp league to test builds vs each other to see which skills completly outperform all others. I would like to recreationally duel people without finghting all the bandits. AN Arena?

2.) Definately need some sort of buffer to keep griefers away from people just starting. Those instances could be shown in red or not shown at all so you don't keep clicking on instances you cannot enter.
Lvl created by lvl 1 can only be entered by lvls 1 - 3
Lvl created by lvl 2 can only be entered by lvls 1 - 4
Lvl created by lvl 3 can only be entered by lvls 1 - 6
Lvl created by lvl 4 can only be entered by lvls 2 - 8
Lvl created by lvl 5 can only be entered by lvls 2 - 10
Lvl created by lvl 6 can only be entered by lvls 3 - 12
Lvl created by lvl 7 can only be entered by lvls 3 - 15
ect...
This allows people who were previously killed to mess around and kill each other around the same lvl.

3.)If its a hardcore race cutthroat, all gems & quest items should drop. This would definately encourage pvp during the races to grab gems and let someone else do all the glyph quest work lol!

4.) I did not get any kills.. LOL so how much exp you get if they are at or around your level? I don't have much thought But I think it should be a considerable amount of exp. I think a % of thier total exp should go to you. Not sure what teyh % should be though.

5.)Really happy with the feature where someone has to wait before they alt+tab/change instances. Definately a keeper. Would be nice to have in hardcore league as well.

6.)I think the gem selection needs some work. There are many gems that could have been a big help to me but are just unavailable to the templar. This would also allow some interesting chars to be built and possibly longer battles.

7.) I can't wait until next event that I can participate in.
