Floating combat text

I'm super new to the game but I would love to see that as an option. One of the very few things I think the game is missing (given my 2 day experience :P)

+1 for the suggestion!

Its kinda funny , cause D2 (all time fav game) never had this, but over the years so many DClones surfaced, and although they all fell flat on their ass, they almost all had this option. It was one of the few cool things about all those horrible DClones.

I dunno why, but while alot of people find it screen pollution, i find it fucking fantabulous. O.o

Giving the option for something that would enhance some players experience but not affect the game play is fine.
I would prefer to see some numbers, even if its an DPS number that pops up every second instead of the damage showing for each hit.

I'm not a big fan of Combat text and DPS numbers or even combat logs. In my opinion FCT does not fit into that dark and harsh world that PoE presents us with. Another point for me is, that if you can read out DMG taken, it will become alot easier to calculate risks. So some enthusiastic people will make gigantic logs and soon there will be stats for different monsters and bosses telling you just how much HP, resists, armor you really need to be fine against them. I like it more, when you have to guess those values!

Well, just my thoughts. FCT will also give us countless forum post "my DPS is so AWESOOOOMMME" and "46381983 HIT at blablub". And that is really annoying.

I like the idea of additional info, DPS isn't everything.

I like damage numbers, maybe because I played so many games with these, but I think its cool to see how much damage you're doing.

maximaly only to display Critical Hit stats for physical and elemental damage . . . nothing more PLZ NO FLOATING TEXTS !!! :P
