0.10.4 Patch Notes
" Totally agree. The devs seem more focused on seeing their vision through hell or high water, rather than seeing to it the players are enjoying their time. I can think of another recent arpg that suffered from a similar case of developer hubris. No. Calm down. Learn to enjoy losing.

" Facetank? LOL man, being within one screen distance from the mob is not face tanking. " Better for you, you shouldn't have a problem to be within range right? You are not worried to lose your character (or XP if you play default). Right? Right? that's not the problem you have, right? " Big deal man, shit happens, once in a while. Deal with it? According to your logic most builds which really are handicapped because they have to be at point blank distance are not viable because of this. Or do you think a melee build has not to 'GTFO' while someone else lands the ending hit¡ a lot of times? If your character is so weak that this happens so usually that it's a problem to you maybe you should be reworking it because it clearly shouldn't be doing that content at all. Sure it's better to stack IIQ/IIR stay 5 screens plant some totems and rush to the loot(while enjoying extended drop timer for being at range), while other are functioning as a 'screen' between you and the mobs. Seems pretty straight forward risk/reward here. The only thing you have to do is stay close to the front (close does not mean at the top of it). It works now the same way XP boosting works, so what's the big deal? The occasional mob you won't be close enough to account for loot drop? (which will average to >1% over a lot of runs) That running around the zone opening chests while others are killing mobs is not going to work anymore? The basic concept is the same: if you are not getting extra XP, you are not getting extra loot. In both cases it's in your interest to be 'close enough' (again, not in top of it) to the battle. Or are you a million meters away and do not collect XP in parties? I'm sure if it's a big deal the distance will be fine tuned and slightly increased. The change itself is pretty good and the people who is crying about it are the ones which do not understand the benefits from it (and it's not even just about multiboxing, even legit partying will benefit from it, too many lechers around). Maybe you think you are too smart, but it seems you haven't thought at all abotu the real implications (positive) of this change besides ""oh my my my build" (which is nto a big deal to start with). |

" You totally miss the point (i'm not surprised). Run spark + fork + faster projectiles. Run Ice spear + gmp + faster projectiles Run Fireball + gmp + Faster projectiles. Shoot Arrows (any kind). Your projectiles will reach 2-3 screens distance even if u don't want, and that EVEN without totems (you are so smart). These changes affect every SKILL which projectiles are able to travel beyond the screen. You miss that. but well i'm done explaining such basic things, go learn and play different builds so you can understand that there aren't only melee skills in this game. And here is not about talking about a "solution" it's about asking how the mechanic is working. Last edited by sirianstar#2747 on Mar 20, 2013, 11:06:56 AM

" I always lol when exploiters try and defend themselves..very amusing. The item is yours when it is in your bag.

" Kinda funny, because my highest character right now is a bow user. Haven't had much problems so far. Unless you are intentionally shooting stuff away from 5 screens away this is not a problem AT AL, due to projectile dispersion. Not even with sparks (density decreases a lot the further away you get from the source). Even if your projectile's damage is insane (very high crit multiplier), you may kill the occasional white mob here and there, so? Maybe you should go and try playing the game and see yourself. |

I didn't have time to read through all 34 pages, but:
" Does this mean that only item drops will match 1 person? What about the difficulty of the monsters? I think if you decrease item drops the difficulty should decrease as well. Last edited by Harmster#3342 on Mar 20, 2013, 11:23:55 AM

" Buy Spark, very basic gem (kinda new for you!) It's able to kill-break vases from more than 2 screen distance, even if u don't want. but it's useless to talk to you, you are pretty blind to what other people are saying. You are just here for saying "my build is zo ztrong u guyz l2p, no ozher zkill exizt apart the onez i uze becoze i'm zo cool!!1! if u uze everything elze reroll ur char noobzzz (add histerical noob laugh here)" while here we are talking about serious things about how the mechanics do work. |
