yeah, people say they prefer to not get movement speed because you hit multiple times the same target while moving slower, but I also chose to get some movement speed and I prefer it.
No point in standing there, spinning, when everything is dead around you.

I'm level 60 right now, at the docks, with a level 15 gem.
I kinda hit a dps wall, maybe because I'm 2 levels below the content, but blue monsters are a lot longer to kill in the docks.
Everything else was a joke up to now, I killed Hailrake at level 54, and he/she was with 2 champions (one with haste). Oak couldn't touch me (same level I think), I decided to take the frenzy charge.

Against lightning thorns, I can't tank the ones in Merciless with Blood Rage enabled. But if I don't use Blood Rage (I reduce my attack speed and don't get the 4% chaos DoT), it's fine. (I have 6% life leech with passive and gears).

Great skill. even greater that i read today on reddit (and it was confrmed by Chris lol) that this skill cant cause desync due to its mechanics (no colliding with mobs or smth like that). just /LOL

Stop adding skills - fix the game first. Its whole feedback that GGG needs atm.
I agree with the armor reduction. I believe something should be introduced (could be a gem or skill points) just any option to reduce enemies armor. As it is right now, alot of abilities put a stopper for pure phys. builds.

You can try using flicker as a ghetto OOS though, it doesn't actually put you in sync but it will usually put you somewhere where you can freely cyclone.
Lvl 59 cyclone duelist feedback. Static blows/RT so it's really much of a duelist but whatever, every attack class is an RT/static class at this point :p

The skill kills stuff decently well, probably because I have good ele dmg gear, including Wakes, which singlehandedly make the character kill at a tolerable speed. Nothing particularly challenging yet, though vaal/A3 will be interesting.

I already talked about the awful desync issues before.

Min distance still feels clunky, you waste such a huge amount of time with this skill compared to others, just hitting air. I am actively trying to line enemies up (I've played multiple FP characters in my time, I know how it goes :p ) but it's just a huge pain in the ass between enemy movement, desync, and the min distance.

Using claw/shield, nice to have a use for claws now! There really really really needs to be a high lvl LoH claw though. Defensively the shield makes the character resilient despite only having 2600 HP atm. Cyclone's movement also contributes to this I believe, proper cyclone trajectories cause most projectiles to miss, and slower attacking melee enemies also can miss you. How badly these defensive benefits will become mooted in maps by the lack of control remains to be seen.

The cyclone art and animation are amazing! However ... i'd really wish it'd use both weapons, like cleave does. At the moment, cleave is the *only* melee skill in the game that is good AOE, benefits from DW, and is actual melee (unlike lightning strike). Unfortunately, cleave can't be used with daggers or claws, so i was hoping that cyclone would fill that void...
Decided to add more feedback:

Running facebreakers with cyclone, working very well (even have a thread specifically about the build, and its working fine cruel so far).

This doesn't necessarily mean it will stay super effective, merciless will most likely see a big drop in effectiveness.

Currently DPS is fine (although facebreaker gives awesome dps). AoE is fine, though a tad small (+2 range from Duelist tree), really the problem is just the minimum distance.

People are disbelieving of my DPS atm in act 3 cruel, since it is hitting 1400 dps with 4 frenzy charges up, running as cyclone, blood magic, life on hit, faster attacks, melee physical. I feel if I ran it with pure dps setup it would do a ton of damage, only problem is wouldn't be able to run my % auras that give me the huge damage output (as would be grabbing blood magic).

I second the idea that speed is king. Getting your movement speed up is super important, I run with my flask on almost constantly, who cares how many times you hit something unless you are mana/life restrained, if you have the lifeleech and dps I do then it costs nothing to cast, so you might as well spam it while being manueverable. Problem is with the minimum distance it is inconvienient to use, I want the old WW where you could use it for small movement aswell
So it looks like even for kripp that this skill needs 10+ exalts of gear, blood magic and /oos every other attack for it to keep up with ele cleave or any ranged class.

You are the most annoying supporter I have heard yet. You actually make me cringe when you type...that's hard to do.

Anyways, you can go back to Diablo III or Call of Duty if you want a mainstream "follow the formula" approach. GGG will do things their way. They do not want to copy paste abilities, they are pushing things further and further and releasing innovative things rather than remodeling and repainting things just to make a quick buck.

They have an amazing game thus far and it had little to do with the wishes of their players and almost everything to do with what they envisioned.

^ This actually adds something you might be afraid of..skill. That's right, you must now think when and where to cast your Cyclone. Believe you me , a lot of others know why you are mad; let's just say it has something to do with Craniom, being dropped, and your mother.
You will not get a game for children. IF you want one? You can play the games I stated above.

Great job on Cyclone thus far. Increased multiplier for melee damage sounds like something that will make physical dmg viable. Just have to get the numbers right.

Maybe add something like 5% total damage reduction while using? This MIGHT make it viable in HC. otherwise I don't see anyone using it >_<

What does "If it aint broke don't fix it" mean, when they never had it to begin with? I'll tell you what it means. It means he wants to be able to whirlwind around with his finger up his butthole and not have to deal with thinking while doing so, just like Diablo III. Just my opinion of course.

My op stated my disappointment with a new skill I had hoped to be just like whirlwind from d2. All I had to go from was a teaser video showing a character whirling through a pack of mobs. IT LOOKED JUST LIKE WHIRLWIND. The mechanics of it were not released before the actual skill. I saw the video and was so happy to see a whirlwind ability come to this game. I was sad to see this version. My feedback can be summed up simply. I wanted d2 ww. You can't fault me for being disappointed with something that is completely different from what I expected. I am NOT demanding GGG change this skill to be a clone of D2 WW. But that is what I would love to see.

So what feedback are you providing? You have given even less than I have in terms of usable feedback in this thread. All you have done is attack my idea of what I personally would like cyclone to be. It shows alot about your character that all you can do is insult people to make yourself feel better and elite. You are so quick to throw out insults and suggestions to go play what you consider inferior games. I really feel sorry for you. Maybe I was dropped on my head a child, but obviously you weren't hugged enough as a child. Take your elitist prick attitude somewhere else, because as you can plainly see, its unwanted here.
