Abyssus should be #1 upgrade priority, unless you want to nab a 5L/6L Carcass (should do that after). 40% is the important roll, try to get one for an exalt, but likely a 40% would be near 1.5-2 exalts. To supplement the Abyssus, you should get a 2k+ evasion shield with hp and possibly resists.

" Thanks for the quick reply! How much does a 5L Carcass Jack cost, roughly? There's a 113% armor, 21 all stat, 44% damage Abyssus up for sale that I offered 1 ex equiv on. Is that a deal I should take if my offer ends up being the highest? How much would that 2k+ eva shield cost, and should I go for that before or after the Carcass? Sorry for all the pricing questions - I'm pretty clueless about them. |

Yeah, for that price I'd take the Abyssus.
A 5L Carcass is at least 2 exalts, likely near 3 exalts. The evasion shield really depends, but I got mine for a pretty nice price. |

To make currency should I be farming merc Docks or something? 1 ex equiv is basically all the currency I have, so there's no way I'd be able to grab anything else if I get an Abyssus, at least not with what I currently have. If you can run Piety runs on Merc, do it. It's great exp and drops.
Lioneye Shield is pretty solid resists and hp. Getting an evasion shield is much better, but getting one near the rolls of Lioneye may be difficult. Last edited by Acrosis#6154 on May 19, 2013, 6:15:20 AM

I personally use PoE XYZ, but when I was searching for an Abyssus, I just searched the Selling forum for posts in the last 24 hours.

I'm sifting through 1000+ eva / hp / allres shields right now, but I don't really know how much to offer for anything lol. |

It kind of really depends on the shield. But if you only get a 1k+ ev shield, you may be better off using Lioneye's Remorse. Try not looking for all res.

I managed to nab a sweet 41% increase Abyssus for 1ex. It literally doubled my DPS - cyclone went from 1.9k to 3.8k.
My HP drops a lot more quickly than I'm used to with the damage taken increase, but the DPS is insane. One-shotting blue mobs in merc docks and lunaris 3 at level 64. |
