(HC/SC) Facebreaker + Cyclone - Fists of Fury Duelist [Videos Included]
" You have to decide for yourself whether you want 20%radius/12%area dmg offensive bonuses or whether you want more armor/resists. Life is a wash I believe since Carcass has a decent life roll. It is perfectly fine to run concentrated effect on normal chests, but I highly suggest you invest in a quality cyclone gem if you want to do so. Try out IncrAoE gem to see how much you value the increased radius stat. It's a personal preference thing. -30radius(ConcEff) +12(passive) +20(Quality Cyclone) = +2net radius Toupy - Lv93 Facebreaker Cyclone Duelist

So hard to find a Chaos res shield with solid def and a life roll to accomodate for an Abyssus.

Ok I know I don't have the best gear yet but damn I am only at 427dps? my 5-10 damage necklace gets me 116dps. Meginord's Girdle would only bring me up to around 660dps. Not sure how to link all my gear but my neck rings quiver all have +physical damage on them. how do people get dps numbers in the thousands? takes forever to cyclone skeletons on the ledge. if i was invincible on act 3 it would still take me probably near a minute to kill a normal trash mob.

You do need fairly decent + phys damage to get that nice facebreaker damage. However, just a little bit goes a long way. Also, Cyclone dps is very low sheet dps, until you get some nice support gems.

" To link your gear: 1) Open up a forum post (in this thread) 2) Click on your character profile in the top left of the page 3) Simply click on the gear you would like to link By the sounds of it, it seems as though you have very low physical damage on your gear (Around 1-5?). If you don't have Meginord's Girdle, I would definitely recommend getting it - It is the best belt for this build throughout the entire game. Edit: The above poster is correct in that the DPS listed on your skill toolbar is false. The real DPS of your cyclone will be double what is displayed. (So your real Cyclone DPS is 854) Last edited by EndOfEnds#7547 on May 12, 2013, 9:22:21 PM

Hey just to help the above poster, here is some of my gear at lvl 45. I focused on a lot with research on this thread. Figured out my gems, sockets, colors and links. I still tinker, so nothing is set in stone.
My dps is 1026 on the "C" screen. Cyclone 729 on the skill (so as stated, double that because of 2 hits per spin) Infernal blow is 2100 GEAR: Not playing anymore. It was a fun ride since 2013!! I just browse the forum now. ~~~~~ "We are spiritual beings having a human experience, not the other way around." ~~~~~"All that you are is the sum of all your thoughts."

Finally got my hands on an Abyssus and it is amazing. Definitely a must-have item for this build. Currently have 10k Infernal Blow with auras, and 6.6k Cyclone (and I still have to level up my Faster Attacks to at least 18). Infernal Blow is at 12.5k with Faster Attacks, but I prefer Culling Strike. Currently have capped resists with 26k armor and 4.5k hp, and the only trouble I have is with Vulnerability maps.
My skill tree.

My current gear.
Spoiler
I have decided not to go for Haste aura, because it requires too much point investment (at least 6), and with it I will not be able to use Warlord's Mark effectively. Instead, I will use the points on more health nodes. The only major issues I see with the build is caused by Cyclone's design. Because it will stop when you move into immovable objects (and believe me, there are many of these in PoE), you can be left vulnerable to attacks. Also, Cyclone tends to desync you -a lot-, so be prepared. It is also necessary to have both a Quicksilver Flask and a Granite Flask, to counter Temporal Chains and Vulnerability respectively. Since I switched back to unarmed (was testing 2h + kaoms heart), and some peeps still pm'ing me asking general questions about my build, gear and advices, thought I'll share my passive tree, gear and stats once again.
So here we are: Passive skill tree:

Planning to get 3 x 4% area of effect nodes at lvl 95 to hit 50%) - 5773 hp (5634 after grace reservation) - 13167.9 Cyclone DPS (Cyclone + Added Fire Damage + Melee Physical Damage + Concentrated Effect + Faster Attacks + Blood Magic) + lvl 20 hatered aura. Tooltip DPS: http://tinypic.com/view.php?pic=71tm5t&s=5 That's pretty much it, I can solo ANY map in 6 players group even with the worst roll. Got no survability problems at all, didn't die once since lvl 80 until now (lvl 92) and I did alot of 75-77 maps along the way. In my opinion this is the most balanced cyclone build (tried 1h+shield, 2h sword+kaoms heart, marohi erqi+kaoms heart). I guess DPS speaks for itself. If you guys have any questions regarding my build / gear / gems, feel free to drop me a pm, I'll be happy to help. ign: Xeplion Last edited by Texazon#2938 on May 16, 2013, 1:06:07 PM

Just wondering how you're running 3 40% auras and a 30% without any sort of reduced mana reserved passive.
Also, how useful is quality for Melee Phys Damage? If I remember correctly, increased melee damage bugs out a little with Facebreakers because of the way physical damage is calculated. Last edited by Acrosis#6154 on May 15, 2013, 2:12:00 PM

" Here's your answer: It works the same way as Covenant. Put in -> cast auras -> put off. Indeed, quality for Melee Physical Damage won't grant you any significant DPS boost, but its always something, I bought it because it simply looks good together with other 20% quality gems. ign: Xeplion
