Currently lvl79 ........

3.9kHP/9K dps cleave

I am level 69, I have same DPS as you, have same amount of +maximum Life as you however my life is just 3k (you have +422 and i have +423 from gear).

is those 10 points making the difference and are you in marauder tree already for extra health nodes?

btw - managed to buy at very very good price a new chest last night:

Spoiler

Now all seems to be on the right track. New helm and maybe one ring and I am all set. Then just level up and look for 300+Dps weapons. I went solo for 66 map with +22% increased item quantity (burning ground) and was able to solo it mostly with easy (had one close call). so now its either Piety runs or level 66 maps ? what do you guys think ?

Firstly, thank you for ur effort of making the guide and answering all the questions.

I am currently lv 62 following ur guide. Could you plz have a look at my gears and comment?

Im having trouble with mana and running multiple auras at the same time. How much should I pay for the Unique mask with Blood Magic? I'm quite new to this game (only been playing for abt 1 week) so I dont have much to spend too.

Thanks in advance!

let me try to help you before Sebah can answer your questions:

for level 62 you have very very poor weapons. Our build is hybrid however it is based on high physical damage. That high physical converts to elemental damage thru support games and auras.

best weapons for you are one with high physical damage. you do not need any elemental on them really. At level 62 i had weapons with 150dps. Yours are 85dps and 55.

use http://poe.xyz.is/ to find upgrades and trade for your currency. You should be able to get 150 dps weapons for like 1-2 chaos max.

Second thing is almost no life on items. I had same issues as you. Never looked for items with health on them but its a must. In this regard you only have one item with +Health. Really only thing you should leave on your gear are gloves (it has no health but at least it has very nice resists).

So first thing buy new weapons. I am not sure what your DPS on cleave is but i would be supprised if its more then 500 which is very low

Then buy gear with +maximum health and resists on every piece and on top of that try to get those stats on gear:

Boots with +movment speed
Gloves with +attack speed
rings/amulet with mana/life leach and added physical damage.

Some of that stuff can be expensive so you can try to get it with time. For now weapons is a must and should be cheapest of that lot.
Very first i must thank you .. not only for the Build but also for vast Explainations ... you really brought me forward with my game understandings!

sincerely
EDO

PS: but some questions left :)

-1-
Is Inner Force really worth it - it costs you 5 points to get there and it ?
Wouldn't they are better spend in a Way like:
)a 30 Int Node (as repayment for the 2 Ints lost)
)the Life Regen node in the Templar Tree
)the dual Speed and dual Damage Nodes very south of the Starting Nod (Gallantry)

You will end up with +overall Damage +Life Regen +Attack Speed -Movement Speed -Armour
If u don't need the Int Nod - you can go for an extra Armour Node e.g. in the Marauder Section (15%)
---
-2-
Despite the Fact, that we miss an extra Skill point
Would a Trade for all the Marauder Life Nods (3*6%-1*15%-0,4 Life Regen)
For Blood Drinker (2% Damage Leech) and 2*10% Life Regen a good one ? or will it hurt our HP Pool to much?
---
-3-
What's the different between an Aura Reduction and a Skill Reduction Nod
---
-4-
What about the Amlify Nod ... for me it sounds awfully useful on Cleave
(more area and 8% more overall Damage Output)
---
I hope u found Time to answer me ... i'm quiet sure i posted nothing new to you
The main reason of those questions is my missing Game Understanding
@0nlyl0v3
As Golfik said. Pretty low physical dps weapons, no hp on ur gear. You are melee, you need hp/arm because u facetanking.
Same thing with resists.
About Unique Malahai Mask, dunno the price on Anarchy, but u use this mask only for grace, wrath, anger, remember.

Thx Golfik for reply btw, as u can see its not so easy with this all questions, etc. But im trying to put a lot of work here.

Okay, i didn't reply yet to this question so im going to do that now and maybe add to my whole guide:

Inner Force with 7 auras after latest 0.11.0 patch, what it gives(Based on 20lvl gems):
1. Hatred, from 25% cold damage - we get 30% (its 29.5, but lets say 30%)
2. Purity, from 27% to all resists - we get 32%
3. Determination, from 51% increased armour - we get 60%.
4. Haste, from 13% extra attack speed/cast speed - we get 15%/15% and from 6% mov speed we gain 7%.
5. Anger, from 130 fire dmg - we get 153.
6. Wrath, from 156 lightning dmg - we get 184.
7. Grace, from 1344 evasion(armour with Iron refexles) - we get 1586.

Lets say now that u don't wanna go for Inner Force and u have 5 points to spend:
-First of all you are missing 20 int, u will need to pick extra Savant node (or get it from gear)
-You will lose a lot of cold damage, its 5% but still we are basing on high physical weapons so it scales very well. There is no other point to get it from passive, unless you wanna go for Ice Bite (30% increased ice dmg) but its 4 points.
-Purity, ok i can agree, i could go for extra +12% to all resists instead of that.
-Determination, again i agree, "Armour Mastery" for 2 points could give me more armour(18%) and even move speed which could fill boost from Inner Force to Haste aura.
-Anger, and this is the point, no way to get 23 fire damage which is a lot of DPS with Weapon Elemental damage gem + Catalyse.
-Wrath, same thing like with Anger, even if u could pick some increased physical dmg node or attack speed, its still a lot of points to get same amount which gives Inner Force for only 5 points.
7. Grace, you could get armour from maurader tree but... check how many points we already need to spend to get same boost for 7 auras like Inner Force.

Inner Force just has been balanced but it doesn't mean its not worth only 5 points if you use 6 or 7 auras.

I would never go for it instead of maura tree with amazing hp nodes. You need 3x strength nodes to get there. No, its bad idea.

What's the different between an Aura Reduction and a Skill Reduction Nod
Can't answer. Don't know what u mean.. Skill Duration maybe.. so it increases the duration of lifetime of totems, the duration of the poison cloud produced by Poison Arrow, etc.

Yes its worth, i didn't go for it yet because "6% increased attack speed node" gives me more dps, 200 more dps than Amplify Node.

@Sebah,

As long as you don't mind me answering question if I know I am talking sense then i am more then happy to share what i have learned in the last week.

I was active before I left some months ago, and i used to post a lot on Diablo 3 forums so in general I do help more then i do harm with my posts :)

This is your thread so if you want me to wait for you to answer then no problem :)

Peace
@Golfik
No, you don't need to, thanks, i know it's my job but i just wanted to say that im not here 24/7(CET zone) so i aprreciate some simple answers :)

I'm playing this build as my currently highest lvl char, 41 ;)

It's pretty good so far, bit hard to get a semi decent gear setup though. But I manage.

Just wanted to say here that this is the most detailed starters guide I have ever seen, there is so much information about details which are pretty obvious to experienced players, but not really for me. I'm a Diablo2 veteran and the game has a lot of mechanics which are similar, so every bit of information helps me improve.

Currently lvl79 on onslaught using this build.
Everything runs smooth now..yeah some maps are still OP like that god damn leap slam boss in maps (nerf GGG plz xD)

I really like tactic discussion more than anything else so I felt I had to give my advice on how to make the fight vs hillock/blacksmith easier

Hillock u can face tank him in his 1st form like with nothing no charges no enfeeble u can just aa him if u want but when he gets near the 50% hp prepare urslef the battle will start
A-he is fast B-LeapSlam C-Heavy strike

1-try to keep 4 charges up at all times
2-must be enfeebled all the time
3-2 granites may be a good idea as per he can dish out lots of phys damage
4-totem bad idea imo unless u stay close to it y cause it can create distance between him and u and then u will have focus problems he will be jumping all over the place and u waste time casting with totem and not attacking he is pretty fast in his second form
5-if u port out to fill pot go back in and make sure ur 1st action is enfeeble and then granite as per u will have no charges as per his 1st action will be leapslam and getting 4 charges 1vs1 is annoying
6-he uses heavystrike and knock u back I feel it makes u miss as per he creates distance not much I can say to counter this just be aware that he has that move
You NeVeR StooD a CHanCe

k so ive played this to lvl 60 , have to say ITS FUCKING AMAZING . Ive played this game on and off and always quit when i hit that block at end game but this build just makes me shurg off damage like a boss . I was first scared about how much id have to sacrifice to run 7 auras but its next to nothing and im currently running 5 in my normal gear with no issue. With mediocre gear and average skill ive cleared everything that i can realistically expect for my level, would highly recommend this to anyone frustrated with being squishy , its a perfect balance of survivability and damage . 10/10 !
