spine of the claimant does a pretty good job, don't think there's a need to change for now. as for the trials, use /global 820. tonnes of people sharing their trials in maps. regarding minion damage, I have found it pretty similar, just use which ever you have, but I would always prioritize CDOT. on average it's a larger boost.

for this stage of the game don't be too concerned, you'd want something like this at the end.

Damn, that's an awesome wand. Too bad I've been skipping all of the Synthesis stuff haha.... Alright, I'll go to global 820 and try to get the trials done! I think I'll try out Uber Lab once I'm level 80ish-- I have no idea how you managed to get 60k tooltip DPS though. I'm at like 6k tooltip and it still kills bosses instantly.

For mapping, I'm using the guide I've read wayy back when I first played for a bit. I think it was...

1-5 blue
6-10 yellow
11+ yellow + vaal + chisel

Is it different now? And are people using different strategies or is just completing every single map a valid strategy? I've reached T6 maps today, it's smooth besides the deaths from 1 reflect map haha. Thank you for all your help! Changing my items/gems, using the First Spine, and grabbing CI helped a lot

EDIT: I'm hoping to do Uber Elder this league too. Looking online the two main strategies are elder map farming and Uber elder farming, should I just do the Uber Elder one?

Apparently to farm Uber Elder == just do everything and don't shape any maps at all, is that correct?

And it seems like people are still doing shaped mapped targeting strategies n' stuff.

no you don't need 80ish. 60k is referring to the cold damage over time in the description of the tooltip. in the box with all the many lines of what the attack does.

as for mapping strategies, I usually alc and go all my maps. I only vaal t11+ if I need it for completion. alcs drop more compared to last time. also a lot more uniques drop nowadays, and they give a good 1/3 to 1/2 an alc. when I started mapping I had about 20-30 alcs saved up. when I had more chis/vaals then I begun chiseling and vaaling everything (later in league).

elder map farming or shaped map farming requires a bit more understanding of the atlas mechanics. elder ring meta has been destroyed following some changes, personally I don't quite care about those, it takes quite a bit of effort. as for shaping or not shaping, or targeting shaped maps, generally just shape all, shape the ones you want to do. do all the maps for completion so as to boost the chances of map drop and map pool sustaining (also allows for sextants). if your shaped maps are surrounded by white maps, it's more economical to use white sextants to boost the red/yellow shaped(+5 to tier)/elder(T16) maps. when I was farming T16s for exp and drops, I uncompleted my T16 guardians. (so that running shaped T15s will drop my elder T16 maps). otherwise leaving the T16 guardians completed are also fine, I never found an issue with map drops. as for uber elder, once a natural T15 is influenced by the elder, the T16 shaper guardians will be shaper influenced. you can start the uber elder encounter (this refers to spreading the elder influence over shaper realm - google/youtube how to do this). I've had cases where 4 elder maps spawned and it was all on T15/14/13s and I could start the uber elder encounter.

I see, thank you. Also, I feel so stupid for not listening to you. I waited until level 85 to do Uber Izaro because it took me forever to find all the trials, even with help of global 820.

Anyhow, I was super scared but he was a joke with this build. I was planning to disable the buffs, but the moment I dropped a vortex + chilled ground + storm brand pre-spawn, he would just insta die after doing a single attack. On the final phase, he didn't even get to do 1 attack before he just died. That was like... a lot of fear for nothing. This build is super powerful! I'm still wearing tabula and have all 1c gear pieces tho...

Kinda disappointed, though. I found Cadiro and he was selling a tabula for 150 coins, but I didn't carry coins in with me for uber lab... By the time I ran to the bank and back, the map had already reset. I did find a Tukohama's Fortress while in lab, though!

no problem. although your uber was later than what the build could handle, it's not a big loss.

some suggestions for your tree, take the left path for Growth and Decay, and take the left path for Fingers of Frost. CDOT is big dps boost. regarding Growth and Decay, I usually take the left path because I have other more efficient nodes to boost my dps (rather than the DOT multiplier). also life regen is a nice node for my Zealot's Oath.

some optimization to your Written in Blood Wheel - you can remove 2 points from the minor nodes, and allocate it to the Path of Savant ES Wheel (tree is still connected via the Physique/Alacrity node). Alternatively you can allocate Agility/Might near EO, and free up 1 sp from the +10 int node (that connects to Physique/Alacrity). Also, I find that if you need to allocate all the points in Written in Blood wheel for the right side of the tree, it is more efficient to connect via Soul Thief (which gives same amount of ES, and additional effects per unit SP).

if duration is not an issue (because dps is good enough), you can free up Potency of Will and use that 4SP else where. I also suggest using a Might of the Meek, and a slightly different pathing around the Unnatural Calm wheel to get the most out of the radius affected by the jewel. See my lvl 84/97 char for this.

glad you enjoy the build. pity on the tabula though. nevertheless I think you'd be looking at a 5L/6L ES chest first next. it will help in mapping harder content!
This is my second season using this build and some of your pathing suggestions are really interesting to me SonsofKorhal. I use the standard tree from the OP and similar to what you're helping with in the above post.
Can you take a peek at my tree and see what you think I could do to push a little bit more from the tree? Thanks.

My second try with this build and managed to farm Uber Elder. Solid build.
I took a new aproach this league because of the staff i got.

Swapped the 4 link vortex setup in the staff with Frostbolt, GMP, Mana Leech and Unleash for clearing easier. For bosses i get it back in the staff.
Here's my full gear for a staff aproach.

really really good stuff. just for reference, for clearing mobs speed running T15s+ I simply wep swap to
socket herald of ice in the wep, and speed run. I lose 40% of dps while wep swapped but it's more than enough to clear everything.

I cannot imagine how much ES you would have if you equipped a 400/450+ ES shield, 15-17k? your 2H is definitely a really nice boost to dps if the ES is not needed.

I took a look at your tree, there's some inefficiencies I would like to point out. grab the +10 int node near Eldritch Battery. unallocate the 3SP near alacrity. you gain 2SP if you connected your tree this way (I would suggest getting Amplify). something for you to consider - use Might of the Meek in the jewel socket north of the witch start. if you rather not, then you can consider de-allocating Heart of Ice and experiment with where to allocate that 4SP. I find that without Might of the Meek, Heart of Ice is not strong enough. if you have Might of the Meek, you also free up some SP in the radius. you took Void Barrier (below Entropy). that 5SP only gives 20% ES. This is not good enough. you can grab 6% ES nodes in your Path of the Savant wheel or Unnatural Calm wheel. your Watcher's Eye jewel socket is not effcient. since you are not low life, you dont need to path there. de-allocate 5SP there (4SP from Alacrity to the jewel socket + 1SP near Written in Blood). reconnect your tree by allocating 2SP to the nodes near Soul Thief on the right. Use remaining 3SP to get a jewel socket north of EO (12% elemental damage + socket).

There's a lot of tuning that can be done, I would experiment with LL. but if not, your Watcher's Eye socket is not efficient for now. Otherwise I would experiment with connecting the left side of the tree by pathing through foresight (and freeing SP up in the connection on the top part of the tree). if you socket Might of the Meek, I would re-allocate the +10 intelligence connections also to maximize to +15 int within the radius.

hope this helps!

I read your advice and messed around a bit. Got more DPS and ES, sitting at 16756 ES atm and 240963 dps on vortex in hideout. I got some wierd passives because i'm low on resistances with my current setup and i'm capping with the jewels as well. Ty for your tips.

took a look at your flashback vortex char. some things for you to consider -

1. If ES is sufficient, consider de-allocating 3 from unnatural calm wheel and 2 from path of savant wheel.

2. If duration is not required (because dps is high enough from the changes/already high), consider de-allocate potency of will.

3. Mana regeneration may be a problem, so keep shaper. If not a problem, consider de-allocating it. If you do de-allocate, remove the minion damage node nearby as well (better ways to spend the 2SP).

4. With all these SPs, complete
i. Entropy
ii. Lethal Assault
iii. Resourcefulness
iv. Arcanist Dominion
v. Grab jewel socket near EE to socket a jewel (buy something useful like +ES and %phasing on kill).

5. If mana is still a concern, grab Arcane Will.

6. Take the left pathing of Fingers of Frost (not the right side pathing).

7. If SP is tight, take the left pathing of Growth and Decay (not the right side pathing).

8. The rest of the points can be spent as seen fit (ES nodes, duration nodes, mana regeneration nodes, jewel socket - up on top near EO).

hope this helps! :)

glad my advice helped. I think your tree can still be messed around but you get the idea. do what works for you!

for myself I sit at 10442 ES (with a better shav's around 10.7k), and 712356 dps on vortex in hideout (auras no flasks). that's a lot of ES you have indeed!
for anyone interested in Synthesis flashback, I have a couple of Vortex helms for sale, just pm me (forum private message or just add in game).

Thanks for the feedback. I am still searching for a decent chest so I only have ~6K es right now. when I get to 8-9 I'll spec out of some of the ES.
Do you not think I should repath out of the minor nodes in written in blood to go the soul thief route? Is that just a personal preference? Otherwise your suggestions look good and I'll change them up when I get off work.
Thanks again.
