[3.5] Occultist Vortex/Cold Snap ES/CI - Deathless and Safe Uber Elder and T16's
" quite a bit of testing by others have been done, end of day, it's pretty similar. which is why it really depends on whether there are nodes which you absolutely must have that's on the left side. the only I can think is sovereignty. that being said, if you want the flexibilty of the jewels and dont require sovereignty, then you probably can skip the left. for myself, even WITHOUT needing sovereignty, I would still go Spiritual Aid, because less jewels means less cost. |

" " RDS1964 can you link the 2 weapons you are referencing? we cannot make a comparison. as SuperBurgers has said, the value of the rolls are important also. I assure you if you are using something similar to his or mine you would not be losing dps just because of the lack of the minion line. " in your post when typing a reply, simply click the avatar (top left of the screen, the image of the class of the character you've selected), navigate to the correct tab (be it inventory or stash), click the item you want to link. then click "x" on top right. in the post you will see a link pointing to the item. it will look something like this, in square brackets. linkItem location="Weapon" character="IceBallDoTBuild" x="0" y="0" when you post the reply, the item will appear. |

Thank u :)

Anyone got updated tree?

" I'm not able to check on POB right now but were you checking the hit damage or damage over time on the tooltip? I think the wand should be better, but keep in mind the extra chaos does almost nothing for us (doesn't apply to DOTs). It's basically 116% increased spell damage vs 64% increased and 29% to multiplier, which is a big difference in raw damage. |
|
Yeah thx. The Wand gives more raw Dmg.
i didnt know that chaos-problem. So, 1 wasted stats slot -.- |

Hey guys, I'm running this build rn and I'm loving it.
Do you guys typically go Shav's + Low life or CI? Also, I'm looking at people's build trees (mainly SonsofKorhal because he came up with the Obliteration Wand idea) and I'm having a blast running thru the game w/ Tabula + Double Obliteration + March of the Legion boots. So basically after all that, just give as many nodes that give damage + ES as possible? I'm seeing a lot of going for jewel nodes, damage over time/damage nodes, and just plain ES w/ shield nodes and stuff as well Would be the ideal level 95 - 100 skill tree? Or would that be gear dependent |

" hey there. glad you liked the double oblit. another poster actually suggested a profane bloom version of the build, and I tweaked it a bit, realised I can run a max dps setup and still get map clear without needing to change my ascendancy. he's also now converted (to LL) after seeing the difference in the dps :P as for CI vs LL, CI is more budget friendly. you can get good dps and ES with a cheaper investment. LL Shav's is not as expensive as you think, you can get very good dps with JUST a Shav's. it only gets expensive when you want to reach the same level of ES you had with CI initially - because it requires you to get a lot more ES on every other equipment. as for the skill tree, there's no requirement for LL or CI to be dependent on your level, it entirely depends on your budget, and what you want. at any stage of the game, both are viable. as for skill tree, once you've gotten the main dps/defence/ES nodes, minor tweaks would be somewhat gear dependent. for example I personally prefer lesser jewel sockets. there is no right and wrong to this. some only have 2-3, while I've seen others with 6. |
