Incinerate | 2 totems | CI | 2 curses | Awesome DPS with low gear requirement

He wants a finder char, if you start to kill dogs with fire trap you don't get iq/ir bonus from gems etc. You can kill them with a decent dps using totems only, but im agree with unimatrix i wouldn't really use this build for a pure docks farmer.

I cast Temporal Chains, Flammability, and a Fire Trap on the Voidbearers and they melt before my totems melt. Rare Voidbearers are a little more challenge, but not much... just throw Bear and Fire Traps on them and continually recast totems.


I also didn't like Docks with this build. TC helps though.

As mariox said, there are other builds better suited. Easiest time has my dual EK totems char. With Projectile Weakness you can even knock the doggies back <3 But they are usually stunned anyway ...

Quality bonus is very good. Not sure if I personally would buy a 20% one given the price. 15+ does the trick as well and costs a fraction of that.

I Bought mine 18% for 2gcp... And saw day earlier a guy on trade chat selling 16% for 2gcp too. I would look on trade channel for similiar opportunity if I were you. The boost is great tho, totally thumbs up for faster melting mobs.

Not sure if it has been pointed out yet, but
"Added lightning damage: Contrary to some beliefs, incinerate does a good job at shock stacking with 120% damage efficiency on the added lightning damage gem. More shock stacks = more dmg for you and your party."

The damage effectiveness of Incinerate is 20%, which is what I assume you're referring to by "shock stacking with 120% damage efficiency". 20% damage effectiveness means you're only gaining 20% of any added flat mods, not 120% of them.

From POE Wiki:
"Low Damage Effectiveness: This stat causes added damage from supports such as Added Lightning/Cold/Chaos Damage, to provide only 20% of their listed effectiveness. This limits the effectiveness of adding base damage to spells that create many small hits instead of one large effect."


So with a level 20 added lightning support gem (5-101 lightning damage) you're only getting a MAX of around 20 lightning damage added to your incinerate. Making it very poor at shock stacking.
So with 2 totems (Ancestral Bond) I can not deal damage with spells directly, but Conversion Trap still works and I am assuming (don't have it to test) the immobilize on Bear Trap still works. Whats the best way to setup Bear Trap on a 3L? Was thinking Bear Trap - Item Rarity - Item Quantity since I can't damage with it and can not increase the duration.

Thoughts?

^Bear trap is usually linked to added fire damage ( and culling strike ), you actually deal normal damage with traps, use fire trap too !

I was reading dominion topic on totem spark build, he wrote at least for his build, that light penetration is better than add xxx dmg gems, do you think is the same for our totem inci build ?

That's probably how I would normally use BT too, but are you sure it will do damage with AB taken? It clearly states you can't deal damage with your skills yourself.

Just wanted a way to lock down yellow melee mobs to keep them off the totems. Added damage would be nice though. Actually now that I think about it more, it won't matter as I won't have the dex to take it past around level 12 so the damage is going to be piddly anyway.

Ok so IR and IQ is not not a good choice since the skill linked to them has to get the killing blow. Misunderstood how they worked. Thought it would work if the target dies while caught in the trap. meh.
