Please do Mario - there is lots of chat in global about the kill speed and relative safety of this build, and I know there are very few guides as it's only since the damage buff to 100% per stage, combined with the reduced mana costs, that this build is now rocking.

Lots of players will try this after the last buffs to it - and I can testify it's amazing.

I just went Zealots and CI last night at 62, and still no problems thus far, I'm gaining a level in under 40 minutes of play time at docks merciless (lvl 63 mobs) and after failing hard in act 3 cruel (General etc) with most of my other classes, I'm loving this build and at least feel any deaths are my own mistakes, excepting the odd de sync ofc : - )

Look forwards to more contributions and sharing best practice from the flame-throwing community!!

I'm leveling one on onslaught atm. I think it's 60 or so. It's pretty powerful. I'm gonna low life with it and see how fast it clears.

COOL! I look forwards to hearing how that goes. I'm convinced that short of spammable discharge (very gear dependant) this build's kill speed is one of the best there is for solo play. Vertainly in my experience of all the builds and classes I've played thus far it is easily the best / safest / fastest...
Hi there, one question. Why those aoe range/dmg passives? Since incinerate isnt considered a AOE Spell?

Nvm, saw that post some days ago, with double curse and aoe points in Templer Area. But got a new one up I see:)
I'm running this build on anarchy, currently level 79.

It's actually my first PoE build. Based on what I've seen from public groups the DPS isn't as high as sporkers but it still does OK (lastest patch helped a bit but not much). It's good in Lunaris and 66-68 maps (haven't tried many maps higher than that yet), awful for docks (too much fire resist there).

The biggest benefit is that you can run this with awful gear which made it great for a first toon. Only 1 4L and it still works fine. I didn't link the jewlry slots but they are basically dedicated to MF with the best IIR/IIQ items I've been able to find. Quality incinerate gems are also super cheap as it isn't in demand, paid 2GCP for mine.

Spoiler

The only thing this build really struggles with is chaining/multi projectile maps, if those tentacled machine guns from Lunaris spawn in those they destroy the minions & totems so fast it's hard to kill anything.

Some groups do hate the screen being covered by fire though.

I find it odd that you say that docks are poor to farm due to frie resist mobs? You do realise that with fire pen gem linked to incinerate and flammability and ele weakness curses, the mobs are MINUS fire pen - actually making them easier to kill? Even at 61 after killing vaal solo, i had a pal give me docks WP and have been farming it almost exclusively to get CI and Zealots points from then until now at 64... I have died twice in I think @ 30+ runs and the clear speed is insane in docks! Yellow mobs are under 3 seconds and white trash is mili seconds - even with one totem, let alone 2 or a fire trap.

Also, te aoe passives I use are for the fire traps - the faster projectiles give the increased aoe on incinerate.
My gear and passives for those interested - PS some life and ice nodes may remain due to swapping from ice spears build previously.

You have a 5L I only have a 4L, so I can't run fire penetration w/o giving up faster casting. I tried it both ways (at the docks) and faster casting was better (but neither were great). You also have searing touch which is adding 2 levels to incinerate which is huge. That 5L staff probably boosts your damage to more than 1.5x what mine is, between the extra damage on incinerate and the debuff gem.

For curses I generally use temporal chains + ele weakness, I find that the combo of the slow from the chains plus extra movement speed on boots is great for getting out of trouble when things get out of hand. I never did try the flammability/ele weakness combo at the docks (at the time I assumed the curse debuffs wouldn't stack) that would definitely help some.

I've since gotten one of the unique rings that lets you have an extra curse (I forget the name) so I could actually run all 3 but that would require me to give up MF and I am too greedy. :)

EDIT: Oh and you should pick up a quality incinerate; the projectile speed makes a big difference in size of the flame area. You can get them for a bargain because nobody wants them.

EDIT2: Just tried a bit of the docks using flam/ele weak and it's definitely better but the dogs still die slow; and their incinerate can still kill the totems quick. I still think you want to get out of here and into Lunaris ASAP for farming. Although I'd forgotten how much of a loot pinata the docks is.

Some good points well made. I'll start asking around for a quality incinerate yes, good tip TY. Also your point about the +2 levels to it in the ST wep are also applied to the FIRE PEN gem too! This is probably why the void doggies are down in 1-2 seconds tops for me. I have just talented CI and Zealots and last night killed the General on merciless (first try, same as vaal in act 2)! So am now heading to Lunaris for the final boss... I'm finding the 3 traps and 4 zombies with MI are taking most of the HP of bosses like general and oak etc, then the totems mop up the last remaining HP quite fast. I haven't used skellies once with this build, as you say the 25% MS on boots plus the added 2% from passive are quite good for moving fast away from danger and the totems do grab the attention of mobs very well and I just run through to far side if danger gets close to me. I also love the cast speed passives and support gems to make the totem and curse cast speed almost instant - this really helps a lot with surv - dump and run! lol

I'll let you know my progress later today on Lunaris and see if I can complete Piety first try too...

EDIT - oih yes, and the loot in docks is great, i run zero IIQ or MF gems at all BUT have had several 6S and a couple of 66 white maps, even though I was 62-63 at the time haha. I'm interested to see what Lunaris brings...
