Any ETA on fixing these ridiculous AMD FPS drops? (e: Nvidia cards affected as well!)

damn it and i just bought the new amd hd card 7870 300$ for nothing, they really need to fix this problem i can't play in party and even solo gg by ggg

my 2-5 second lags during group play are down to less than a second, i feel like I increased my RL pc with block recovery rate passives lol.


change the client.exe to high task, turn off AA, turn off AF, turn on vsync, turn texture to medium.

updating to beta drivers fixes this. at least makes it not drop below 30 fps on a 7970 maxed out

thax man!! i just update my driver to 13.3 beta and it's all good now ;)

a full install of radeon drivers can be tricky sometimes they do not really upgrade. for updating to 13.3x or whatever in the future

a. control panel > system > device manager > right click the amd/radeon display adapter > uninstall > check the box to delete the driver

b. control panel add/remove or programs/features > remove amd/radeon products

c. if windows auto installs the video driver, uninstall it again following step A

d. install the drivers like 13.3 beta > reboot

e. reboot > did they install? if not install them again

f. make sure the amd radeon display panel has version 13.3 or your correct version listed under software
radeon panel > information > software should list 13.3 or your version installing

NOTE: some users report this resolving their fps/freeze issues, for me it helps but i still have to run the client.exe in high priority mode and its still only 75% effective.

this is my latest test anyone else able to confirm it helps?

change tessellation mode to "override application settings" then turn it to OFF or an extremely low setting like 2. Mine was at 64 as the default.

Please note if you take a look at my screenshot i dumbed down my system for this game which will effect other games and lower the graphics quality. so you may want to keep that in mind unless you create a custom game profile.

update:
a. needed to uncheck post-processing in game
b. turned of tessellation in radeon panel
c. run client.exe in task manager processes tab as high priority
d. Antialiasing and AF are off in game
e. using soft audio mod (not sure if pro or con yet)
