The races begins at the same time for everyone.
Due to the Earth being a sphere and not a flat surface, this means the Earth's rotation dictates which part the planet is directly hit by sunlight. This causes the time of day as observed by one person to differ from that of another on the other side of the planet. These relative differences are divided into Time Zones, also referred to as local time. Since not all players live within the same time zone, GGG programs their posts to list the time local to the reader (provided you've selected the correct time zone in your profile settings) to avoid any confusion or conversion from one time zone to another. This means that everyone will begin the race together, but their local times will not be the same. I hope this extremely over-explained post answers your question about local time. |
