There isnt any point in this if GS and LS are allowed, everyone knows you can make those 2 wipe out screens from range.

I don't really get why people are so upset with LS and GS being allowed. I see this manmode race as an opportunity to come up with some fun and out of the box builds. If you care about losing to whatever other builds, maybe go LS, GS or ranged.

If you do I think you're missing the point of this challenge.

How ironic, i think you are the one missing the point of "self-found, manmode, melee race".

What part of "kiting packs of mobs spamming them with large AoE, RANGED attacks isnt melee" dont you understand?

Its really not hard... Thats like bringing a shotgun to a sword fight.

Its literally 0 difference from FP or EK -_-.

I always find GS mara to be the easiest build. Not sure why anyone would think otherwise. You get a weapon that is tuned for Melee that does AoE and range without a massive dps penalty like using a bow. You can literally focus every point on defense and still faceroll mobs with a decently rolled 2H mace.

Remove Lightning Strike and Ground Slam from the usable skills list, it's not melee if it's ranged.

being melee doesnt mean you necessarily have to facetank everything

So overpowered. That's probably why all the top players on the ladder use them, because it's so much better than being a caster/wander/bow/anything else in the game.

Just wow people, I think only the FFA loot threads have had more whining in them...

Don't like the rules then don't play in it. Kripp came up with a simple set of rules with certain goals in mind well articulated in his Youtube video. Chris from GGG has expressed his support for it and will hopefully get useful information and ideas from it.

I'm in. As a disciple of Sensei Devmoon I have been playing around with melee Witches and Rangers and will try a new variation of one of those builds. And no it will not use LS or GS, too many other interesting skills to play with.
