Community Translators Needed

Good, less cries from Spanish and German players in the future at Steam.

Don't take me wrong, I do understand the side of Spanish players from South and Central America wanting it as an option in the game since English isn't a mandatory language to learn at school (according to friends that live there) but I never understood why would a German want it. Don't they learn English as a second language at school like most of the countries in Europe?

You should have contrated me to work on Brazilian translations, as well on brazilian pathofexile website.

It is incredible stupid the guy that is working on poe-brazil-website-translations. He probably use google translator and the result is just a fucking joke. xD

Mjolnir and all other Maces of the game still being called in poe-br as "Maças" what means "apple" to us. I have no fucking idea who's the retarded translating this game to portuguese.

A correct word would be "Porrete". I can't count all bad translations poe have to pt-br. If I was a new translator I would delete everything and start from the beginning. Really.

I never touched the PT-BR version of the game but saying that is terrible when you're no better... Maça is not an apple, maçã is. At least do it right in your own language.
A mace is translated always to maça in Portuguese being it Brazilian or not. Check other games, sources, books, etc, you're wrong and need to level your historical knowledge a bit more.
If you ever need a danish translator hit me up - i'll do it for free :P

Hmm... like 3 or 4 years ago there was a group of people making Polish translation for PoE, you contacted them and wanted them to stop making it because you are going to do polish version yourself. After 3 years there is still no information about Polish localization... I'm kinda disappointed :(

Yeah, I remember it too :/
So maybe all the questions "When will it com in German, when will it come in German, when will..." stop soon... :-P

Always thought that this translations are nearly final, or have you stopped working on it?

And the translators don´t only have to translate the actual content, they will have to translate future content, too... So it makes sense to get this people over a long time in the GGG team.

I will continue to play it in English, but I surely will have a close look at the German version. ;-)

No Polish translation, sob. :C I'd gladly do some work, and I know few people who'd do some. :D

You need to rework Russian translation also, it is really awful.
As always, italian isn't even taken into consideration :(

I know that surely Spanish and probably even German communities may be bigger than italian one, mostly because they averagely speak english better than us (as secondary language spoken), but are you sure that you wouldn't attire more italian people to play the game if it had a translation?

When an important game is published without an italian translation (and the latest notable examples are Torment: Tides of Numenera and Mass Effect Andromeda), the most common complain I read in italian videogame sites is "damn I would buy it if it had at least subtitles in italian".

The same would apply to PoE... If it had a translation, I'm SURE there would be an explosion of the italian community...

Think about it, I'd love to help !

We do but that doesn´t mean that all of us are good at it.:(
My son and daughter-in-law for example will try this game only when its translated into german and i´m pretty sure that a lot of german players will act similar because they feel insure when they have to play/communicate in english.

The same is true for every non-english speaking nation all over the world so hopefully there will be more translations over time. With the help of the community it´s doable.
