The Exiled Sale Recipe Book (spoilers)

Magic items have max. 2 mods, 1 prefix and 1 suffix.
Rare items are just magic items with max. 6 mods, 3 prefixes and 3 suffixes.

Of course you will not see something like "RazorSharp Cruel Conqueror's WEAPONTYPE of Infamy and Nourishment and Hoarding" on a rare item ... instead you just see a randomly generated NAME, for example "Oblivion Tooth" or "Foe Slicer" or "Pandemonium Sceptre" etc.
But behind this NAME theres a maximum of (3 prefixes + 3 suffixes) ... rare items just use the same mods (prefixes and suffixes) as the magic items, but instead of having a maximum of 2 mods they have max. 6 mods. Simple as that.

There are no "special" mods for rares. There are "special" mods but only for unique items where you'll see something "unique" like "culling strike" or "cannot be frozen/stuned" etc.

So i sugest we stick to the "SAME NAME" terminology for explaining the recipe(s). Because that's just it after all, same name.

this should clear up what is or isn't needed for it to work. (if it's a dual wielding combination it can be anything, wand/wand wand/sword etc)


They do not have to be identified, unlike alteration shards.

no it does not look like there's a magic-only version(yes that's a helm and not a shield, I checked.)
