I think we need an orb that "create one link between two unlinked sockets. Make it as rare as a blessed or or somthing. We just need to stop re-rolling from "close" back down to nothing again.

Such orb would be OP no matter how rare. If it would be possible the currency would lose all its value. People would have hundreds of fusings in their inventories with nothing to spend them on like currently with chromatics. Same, for example, would happen with an orb that lets you choose mods you put on items directly.

An option could be a recipe that takes your item and, say, 25 fusings per link you want to create and create exactly that many links on that item. So for example, to guarantee creation of a 6-linked item you would have to put in 175 fusings. That would give player a choice to save up or to gamble.

And if people don't trade, offer them more. Fusings are rising in demand.

Im STILL hoping for a decent recipe for fusing orbs. It is just silly how many I have gone though and never even got 5 links, let alone 6!

If the game doesn't have one of these then Fusings are going to be the clear bottleneck against.............well, everything.
They have said that they will be adding more recipes over time. Specifically gems, belts and flasks seem to be a few things for future recipes. Not adding a way to get fusings and Jewelers in some way would seem like a pretty strange choise, so I would imagine such recipes getting added in a not too distant patch.
Remember that patience is a virtue! :P
I appear to be living in "Romance Standard Time". That has to be good! :)
5 gems with the same color (and type, i mean skill or support) should be produce a new random gem with that color.
"I'm programmed to say something that is kind and uplifting at this point, but there is apparently an error that is working in my favor."
If I remember correctly, they said every currency item had a recipe, but we haven't found anything for several of them, the best ones (fusing, chaos, exalted...).
Does that mean these recipes are just incredibly hard to find, or do they really exist ?

For fusing, I would try several linked items with the exact same color layout. Example : 5 4-linked items, with blue-blue-blue-red sockets, in the same order.

For chaos, maybe several rares with same mods...

Chris said there are currently recipes for *most* of the currencies, not all.

ty vm for info
I don't know if this has already been documented, but...

Last night I decided to sell some of the Skill Gems that have been cluttering up my Stash. This is what I discovered:

1 Skill Gem = 1 Scroll Fragment
5 Skill Gems = 1 Scroll of Wisdom
13 Skill Gems = 1 Gemcutter's Prism, 1 Scroll of Wisdom and 3 Scroll Fragments
33 Skill Gems = 2 Gemcutter's Prisms, 4 Scrolls of Wisdom and 2 Scroll Fragments

Gemcutter's Prisms can be used to improve the quality of a Skill Gem by 1%, up to a maximum of 20%.

Your gems probably had quality on them that's why you were able to get GCP's for them.

Nope. They were just Skill Gems I picked up from Normal through Merciless Difficulties. I didn't even know Gems could have "Quality" until I read some previous posts. But, the ones I traded had no "Quality" listed.

I did use the 2 Gemcutter's Prisms to add 1 Quality each to my Poison Arrow Skill Gem and Split Arrow Skill Gem. (You probably guessed I'm playing a Ranger).
