all those pesky and selfish comments about low level uniques show that the early and midgame content is still too easy to master.
there were different times, we grinded fellshrine for days and fought and died horrible deaths in malstroem of chaos. and laughed and had fun because it was exciting. now the game is getting facerolled by the majority of builds to get to maps asap to get rich by trading endgame items to late starters and even "hardcore players" complain about too much damage in level 72 maps because they might die. omg, i really want my old game back.

Tough tradeoff. I do want people to die early and often in my heart of hearts, but I also want the new people who play 2.0 to stick around to get to maps.

Most cool people play HC and when these cool people die they re-roll, having these kind of uniques help these cool people to level faster.

I guess you don't play HC so you're not cool. But hey, we can't all be cool people!

i would like for players to play the main game longer before they reach maps. one method to achieve this would be to make master crafting much more expensive so players have to grind for currency. guaranteed improvements should have a higher price than 10 alterations.

It rolls rarity first, because if it rolls Unique it handles that differently (not caring about base type). If it isn't Unique, then it rolls a random item "normally". If that item doesn't care about rarity (e.g. currency) then the rarity is ignored.

So that's why we get too many extremely low level uniques on high level zones! Not carrying about base type means the unique will be picked from the massive pool of uniques and of course there are more mid/low level uniques than high level. And they have a way higher chance (each) to be picked from the pool too.

which means that adding more low level uniques will in fact reduce your chances of getting higher ones.

edit: when RNG gets manipulated its not RNG anymore

While Doryani's is used more by caster, it is a 300+pdps 1h mace. A lot of people forget that. It's about as end game as you can get for a 1h mace, especially with the synergy with HoA.

sure its close but still not the same type of weapon, its like swords and thrusting weapons

ZiggyD is the Labyrinth of streamers, some like it, some dont, but GGG will make sure to push it down ur throat to make you like it
