New Low-Level Uniques

GGG is really pushing me into playing a third RF character ... dat War Hammer *-*
This has two sides to it.

First, these items look good and I certainly see them as useful additions. Some are even addressing gap when characters are at low levels, eg. lack of AOE.

The bad part of this is that we have more crap uniques to deal with in end-game. Every time I get low level unique, I cry a little inside. That means I have literally cried me a river, Amazon river at that, and things will only get more wet with this many new low level uniques on the way.

I like low level uniques, I like rolling new characters and I like having that spike where you feel OP for at least a few levels.
Also the fact for a lot of casual players these kind of uniques are the only ones they are ever likely to find. And at least they will get used unlike a number of the unique jewellery pieces and body armours.

One thing I would like to see though is enhanced drop rates for low/mid level uniques on first time boss kill. The drops are so often underwhelming, especially for new players. Getting something cool when you kill Brutus/Merveil is more likely to get players hooked into the game.
And low level stuff won't be valuable enough to tempt people into building characters to rush bosses, so wouldn't affect the economy too much.
In fact I'd like it much more if a bunch of these starter uniques were considered to be of similar power and value, so rather than players saying 'What can I sell this for', we had more of a barter economy where they would say 'I've got a lifesprig - can anyone swap with me for the unique sword?'

Best point I have read so far and if I got everything right, very easy to do for GGG.
I remember when I got my first unique drop ever. It was a "warhammer" in merciless thicket and i got totally stoked, expecting some godlike item. Well it lasted until I identified it...
But the same item can be godlike for a new player finding it in normal difficulty and encourage him to even do some low level boss runs.

first one is great ... second one is ok .... third is crap ...
Biggest problem I see with these weapons is its Just not worth trying to find them as a random drop, maybe if they were a quest reward choice instead of the craptastic rares offered, I know a lot of the rewards have been reworked in beta. But for the time it would take to farm for these or even trade for them Id probably just use one of the vendor recipes with rustic sash to make a good enough leveling item and not deal with trade/RNGjesus. Of course I will keep one of them in my stash for ease of leveling but screaming eagles win already for that.

Please Please give us more directed farming options and cut down on the RNG. The Divination cards are a great idea and can't wait to see them but consider making lower level uniques NOT drop past a certain level.
Leveling uniques (long story short) - you have found half of alchemy shard that takes up to 8 inventory slots yay.

As of now leveling uniques are as bad for newcomers as for veterans, newcomer caster can not trade Brightbeak for Lifesprig, even tho there is usually thousands of them on sale but their NPC selling value is much lower than the lowest buyout price.

You can wait days before somebody agrees to trade Brightbeak for Lifesprig and by that time you could have been in Merciless already. Few days i said? Huh, actually you have better chances that some kind soul will just give that wand to you for free.

I propose new NPC recipe - Enhanced Chaos/Regal crafting:

Unique piece of armour or weapon + rare jewelry set of ilvl<75 = Chaos Orb
Unique ring or amulet + set of rare armour+weapon of ilvl<75 = Chaos Orb
...ilvl>=75 = Regal Orb

(To clarify this, yes - ilvl 3 rare jewelry + ilvl3 Unique Sword = Chaos Orb. Screw Chances).

At least this way newcomers can actually accumulate some Chorbs before they hit merciless and high level mappers will start picking up this leveling stuff for Regals.
