Everybody is assuming that currency cards will be limited to one area... What if GGG makes them global?

they told us so

I think they didn't specify any number of possible zones, there might be one or several or many... probably changes card by card... should be up to the players to find it out (and to decide to selfishly farm or spread the word). btw, that would be a similar approach as with recipes.

I think you openly admitting that you made the card to attempt play the market is pretty good motivation for GGG to adjust the drop rate so that doesn't happen.

Only thing i do not like is the flavor text, i feel like you could have come up with something more interesting concerning the theme (greed/hoarding).

But thanks for supporting this game!

Ahhh, but this is a reference to my favourite song I am listening to when I am farming.

Cheers!

My bet is not only the above, but that the drop rate of pure exalts will be lowered to compensate, so the "effective" drop rate of exalts is at best equal to what it was.

possibly, but to compensate accuratly, you need to know how many players will specifically grind for them, which is hard to anticipate.

I can just hear the outcries when the really valuable cards drop in 77+ maps only :)

When I submitted The Hoarder I suggested that the drop rate should be similar to that of a Vaal Orb (with a stack size adjusted to suit their balancing needs). This was just a suggestion, I did not get any confirmation whether GGG implemented it that way.

However, we no know that 12 Hoarder cards are required for 1 ex. And the probability of a Vaal Orb dropping is about 12 times higher than an ex. I think this all points in the direction that the drop rate of the cards is the drop rate of the turn in divided by the number of cards.
