Seems there aren't any skills combine with pierce can make a good collocation
i.e. explosive arrows won't stucks on enemies with pierce and it can't explode on the target lightening arrows won't conduct without stabbing on monsters as well as poison arrows if we want to hit more targets why don't we use lmp gmp fork or chain instead of pierce? apparently this ability sucks it deserves buffs or some new skills should be added to make a good combination:( |

" spell damage only affect spells, whereas elemental damage affect both spells and attacks. |

So, if the only way to achieve elemental status illness effects (except chill) is to get a crit, then resolute Technique users will also never deal status ailment effects (except chill)? =0[.]o=

Amazing mechanics thread.
Thank you. |

" Some skills have an inherent chance to apply a status effect. There are also passives in the skill tree that let you apply a status effect by dealing the respective type of damage. Neither of these require a crit. ign: Aan_allein

" Spell damage isn't limited to elemental damage, it will also increase physical and chaos damage done by your spells (eg. Ethereal Knives). Also it will boost all of your spells, rather than just a specific element. For instance if you have Fireball with Added Chaos Damage, spell damage will boost both damage types, while % fire damage would only increase the fire portion. " Unlike fork, chain, and multiple projectiles, pierce does not reduce the damage of the linked skill, and also has a much lower mana cost. It is a very good support in the right setup. |

Are attack speed bonuses on weapon and gear additive or multiplicative?
Say I have an Imperial bow (base attack speed=1.5) which rolled the attack speed suffix to increase attack speed by 27%. I also have attack speed on my gloves that give 10% attack speed and passives granting a total of 29% attack speed. 1.5*1.27*1.10*1.29=2.703195 (multiplicative). 1.5*1+(.27+.10+.29)=2.49 (additive). 1.5*1.27*1+(.10+.29)=2.64795 (combination with gear+passives additive and multiplicative with weapon). |

everything on the bow itself is additive to itself only. then everything else multiplies on that additively to each other. thankfully the game auto calculates the bow's new base attack speed by listing it in blue,
so 1.5 *(1+0.27) = 1.905 1.905 * (1+0.1+0.29) = 2.64795 in case someone asks about duel wielding. two swords of same speed with same values as above gets a extra step of *1.1, or 2.912745 Last edited by soul4hdwn#0698 on Feb 5, 2013, 7:40:10 PM

Thanks. That explains why I couldn't get my spreadsheet numbers right earlier.
