Quick mechanics question: How is the chance to freeze, shock and burn calculated (not the duration, the chance it actually happens) and how is it improved my +XX% chance to cause status ailment X?

I got a few questions about traps:
If searched the forums, but still some questions left. Bear Trap: Is there any way to boost its damage with the passive skilltree? Or is it handled as an own instance, with its own dmg? When I will use the passive knode to place down 2 totems - which means i can't deal dmg with my skills -is bear trap also affected by this? Or will bear trap still deal dmg? If I take "crit strike chance" in my skill tree, it also affects traps? If i take "crit strike chacne for spells" will it also affect my traps (lets suppose they use firestorm)? Laydownspped can't be boostes with cast speed i guess (cause there are extra laydown knodes)? Thx for your answers. |

Does Chill duration stack or reset when hit by multiple cold spells? For example if my cold attack hits an enemy and chills it for 2.3 seconds and my second cold attack hits the enemy during the 2.3 seconds, does it add 2.3 seconds to the chill duration or does it reset it and create a new 2.3 second duration timer.

Physical damage % bonuses like the one on broadstroke quiver affect it normally. Fire trap is, however, affected by spell damage too, and burn damage afterwards by ignite passives although the tooltip doesn't show it. " Passives that give base health/mana/shield and also quest rewards from alira and oak get multiplied by % passives just like any other flat bonus like life on rings or such. Wish the armchair developers would go back to developing armchairs.

I would like to know how certain things that slow an opponent down interact.
1) Are the slows from temporal chains and the chill effect additive or multiplicative? 2) The path of exile wiki says temporal chains affects the duration of status ailments. How does this interact (multiplicative, additive) with increased chill/shock/freeze duration? 3) Do temporal chains and chill affect stun recovery? 3a) If yes, how do they interact with passives/items that alter enemy stun recovery, or that alter one's own stun recovery? 3b) And, following q1, are the effects on stun additive or multiplicative? 4) If an enemy would be stunned in the same shot that turns it into ice, will the enemy go through stun animation after coming out of ice? 5) If any enemy would be stunned while it is already ice, will the enemy go through a stun animation after coming out of ice? 6) Is the check to see if a status ailment is above 300 ms performed after all relevant modifiers (including temporal chains)? |

Will any mention or hint at shop recipes be added to the mechanics list? I'm still not sure wtf you do to get certain items from the vendor or if you can do it at any vendor. Is there a specific vendor you have to use?
Someone mentioned to me that:

arranging 8 gems of the same colour in a box shape and having a Scroll of Town Portal in the middle will give you a Town Teleport gem.
And it didn't work for me? Or can you not mix and match skill and support gems of the same colour?
