Can't say I'm surprised. Considering they took the time to program untradable starter gear sets for PvP only characters they would've made it that way for the PvP events as well. Maybe do a desent (might be the wrong race name I don't do that shit) type of deal where you pick from a pool of uniques or something. But instead we have this. Thank you for your honesty though I really expected people to buy their way to the top and claim skill since we have no way of knowing what anyone's gear looks like.

I feel this is more a permanent league problem than a wealth and balance problem.
If I were to speculate, I'd say that GGG never went into this PvP season with the intention of having a fair and balanced system from the get go, but to rather get a feel for the most OP broken shit the player base can come up with given enough resources, so next PvP season when they do it in a temp league they wont be reactively nerfing expensive investments that could legitimately set players back. I do agree that top-tier gear should be completely craftable, but I do like the idea of it being behind a Master XP wall and a currency wall, it means players that have access to the most stuff are the ones who play the entire game, a sort of PoE triathlon. The cost could be adjusted a bit though, I think 2ex feels like a good price for top-tier PvP gear. IGN: Ikimashouka, Tsukiyattekudasai, DontCallMeMrFroyo

i havent really tryed pvp on this game but if ur a PvE player who likes to mf and stuff pvp is good for you if someone wants to spend all that money on items will go to the pves who find the items |

I think only Arena games like Quake/BTF or MOBA games are only possible generies to have "balanced" pvp.
