Success in PvP is based only on wealth.
So what is pvp based around exactly, when 2 so called "1000+ ex" players go against one another?
I see no problem with requiring some sacrifice to be literally the best at something. You can have plenty of fun in LLD without being the best or even top 100. Last edited by WitchKiller#7553 on Dec 24, 2014, 8:15:08 PM

Tired of people still claiming PvP is just about gear
It's hard to remember what you have forgotten

I have no real interest in PVP, but it sounds like it essentially reflects the same imbalances that exist between the haves and have-nots in PVE.
Here's a simple thought to balance the contest and REALLY make it be about skill and nothing else. Each person enters a holding area minus any gear at all and gets a few minutes to gear up (while others ahead of them are entering the arena and fighting) and choose from a basic selection of items on offer from an armourer, all of which are listed elsewhere so that people can theory craft and come up with the most appropriate builds they wish to fight with. Everyone gets the same selections to choose from and come up with their own variations. Once equipped, they enter the arena as their turn comes up and proceed to slug it out, knowing that while their opponent might by uber-wealthy under normal circumstances, in PVP he's just another shittkicker who's arse they can kick if they're good enough and have selected well gear-wise. |

Balancing PVP using the same system were you PVE monsters and slay mass amounts trying to be OP as possible can never be balanced.
