I seriously hope the damage from Reckoning/Riposte are much higher than Tempest Shield. Without any additional block chance on them they would be useless otherwise.

Added a new Strength Skill - Reckoning: Perform a swift counter-attack against enemies in a cone shape when you block with your shield. (Available from the Intruders in Black quest for the Templar, Marauder, Duelist, Ranger and Scion.)
Added a new Strength Skill - Vengeance: Chance to perform a swift counter-attack against all enemies around you when you are hit. Weapon range increases the area of this attack. (Available from the Lost in Love quest for the Templar, Marauder and Duelist.)
Added a new Dexterity Skill - Riposte: Perform a deadly counter-attack when you block. Uses both weapons while you're dual wielding. (Available from the Lost in Love quest for the Duelist, Ranger, Shadow and Scion).


seems like all the damge u ( counte_attack ) is based on the melee damge of your weapon ?
so all those gems are useless for casters ?

also hardly any block node,s near casters :(
so casters ( who have the biggest problem getting regen and health and block now ) also dont get counter attacks nice ...

Not at all. If u stay close to enemy and counters proc (I don't know if it's even possible with wands for example) u still can get power charge (pcoc + counter).

He means that 1h+shield works for two skills, and that makes dual wielding worse which is objectively true.

i know there is a big problem whit ranged vs melee has always been like that ( playing sins closed beta )

does not mean i cant whine about it being focused on melee * while block was nerfed more for casters * way more easy block node,s for melee users and u know it

Es also received a big nerf whit the block node,s ( no extra es from shield node,s ) let alone easy access to them


reflect is the most annoying mechanic in game and 90% of the time only annoying for casters
( its hard for us to get lifesteal )

so we used block ( which was op i agree sins to easy excess ) but now its .....

this game is slowly turning more and more into cookie cutter builds

I think the more viable argument was that everyone, it didnt matter what build, was using block. Which made block the MOST cookie cutter build in recent poe memory.

There was a time when everyone used Armor, then it was nerfed. After the inital QQ people started to play more diverse builds.
