Radeon 6XXX Card Making Game/Pc Freeze

Same issue. Radeon HD 7700. New computer so it doesn't have a lot of junk on it. Have latest drivers. I play for 5-15 minutes and then everything completely freezes and only a hard reboot works. Its seems to especially like freezing on the area after The Ledge.

EDIT: Other information: Windows 8 x64. I tried Window mode, --nosound, all lowest graphics settings. I also tried fullscreen and highest graphic settings. Turning sound off, etc. They all freeze 5-15 minutes into the game. Judging by the other posts, it sounds like a driver issue. My laptop has (and still can) run this game without hiccups.

EDIT 2: Path of Exile has a Catalyst driver setup specifically for POE. I tried overriding that setup and changing everything to a new value. This didn't seem to work any better but I did get a BSOD instead of a complete computer freeze.

EDIT 3: Turns out my problem wasn't related to my GPU after all. It was a bad RAM issue. I read in other forums that Radeon cards running under Catalyst 12.x were causing similar issues. So make sure you have Catalyst 13.x and updated drivers. If you think your problem might be RAM too, search the Interwebs for MemTest86+.

i msg'd the devs about this a little over a week ago, they said they were aware of the issue and they would look into it and get back to me. Still have heard nothing back

I've got an HD 6670, and ever since the 10.1 patch, I can play for about 20 minutes, and then my system just shuts off. Sounds like a related issue.

I think it's better to stop playing, produces much impotence failing to find a solution and that the Company believes is more priority focus on visual styles and sounds, which provide gameplay, for me it is currently impossible to kill all boss of act 3, when he throws his ice arrows u / or electrical attacks froze enough time to die, If I use the portal and back, the loading screen is infinitely eternal in the 4th trip, and of course to finish charging die as 30 seconds I fall short of immortality.

It's ridiculous, this game uses more memory and CPU than Batman Arkham Asylum, Devil May Cry 5, etc.

My husband is having the same problem. We're running the same specs, all but the video cards. Mine is HD4xxx and his is HD6xxx. So far I haven't had any issues but he can barely stay on longer than 5 minutes without needing to do a hard reboot.

We just started the game but like it so far. Hopefully this will eventually get taken care of so we can both enjoy it.

try emailing the devs about it. the more people let them know its a problem the better
