Radeon 6XXX Card Making Game/Pc Freeze

cool! let me know if you guys find a fix

same problem..with the only difference that it only happens when i enter the chamber of sins in act 2..pc freezes in the load screen, a short fragment of the music being repeated every few seconds..no alt + tab, no alt + f4, no ctrl + alt + del..only hard reset possible..really drives me nuts, cause i absolutely love the game and would like to proceed..

Intel Core I7 @920
3GB RAM
Radeon HD 6870
Soundblaster X-Fi Titanium
Win 7 x64

I tried all the suggested workarounds for Soundcard and Graphics Card, none of them helped.. :(

I've got this problem too! Never experienced it before the latest patch though.
I'm running a Radeon HD 4xxx on Windows XP.

I figured out my problem and it wasn't related to my GPU after all. Turns out I had bad RAM. So sorry, that doesn't help anyone else out with the problem.

I did read in other forums that versions of Radeon cards from last year were causing similar problems. Make sure you are running Catalyst 13.1 (the problems were happening the in the 12.x versions) and make sure you have the latest drivers.

i personally have done all that and its still happening

Same problem. Strange lag with ATI Radeon HD6670. Fps is goin from 5-120 all the time. I have managed to complete Act 1 and Act 2, but in the 3rd act it's almost impossible to play and I am afraid of dieing in HC. I am going to wait till you fix this problem. Thanks in advice for any suggestion on how to at least lower the lagg.
