The Herald of Ash : A Physical Bow Build
" This. It helps a bit but it isn't anything crazy from my experience. IGN: xBilldozerx

How do you guys deal with reflect? I keep accidentally one shotting myself lol.

" Lightning coil, cwdt, immortal call all help against phys reflect, and ele reflect is combated using puncture to isolate and kill the rares. Since the build is evasion based, you can also evade your own reflected projectiles. Never ever shoot an ice shot into a huge ele reflect pack, it's a guaranteed rip. If you have point blank, you can control the burst to some extend by standing as far away from the pack as possible. Edit: how could I forget traps? Just throw a burning arrow/puncture trap under the rare to one-shot it. Last edited by maladeth#2288 on Sep 2, 2014, 9:34:54 AM

good build, but i prefer my crit build.
there is one thing wrong - there is no need for the three dragons! why? because: HoA is AoE, it reads: "Channel fire through your hands, adding fire to your physical damage. If you kill an enemy with an attack, other enemies near them will be ignited for the overkill damage." so, after killing it "casts" an AoE even on shattered mobs, that AoE proliferates! not the mob already burning. its not really a must have ;o) atm, you can proliferate fine without those. i am pure phys dmg with 67% crit chance and a 401% multiplier on iceshot and whole screen burns. using (would do others, but colours on eva sucks 3x red for HoA):

tornado shot for testing
doryani with cold is much cheaper and after i got my hands on atziri gloves.. oh man! |

" Be mindful that traps will not gain the Herald of Ash proliferation. |

" The Three Dragons is for shocking, not burning. It also prevents you from destroying proliferating bodies. I put this information in the build guide, please read the whole thing before commenting in the future. We have also covered this in the conversation about the build since many others skipped this section as well. The initial build was put together with the aim of creating a build which costs less than 10 chaos to make. Three Dragons provides important resists and a huge source of damage multiplication via shocking. I currently run an Alpha's Howl since my damage has increased substantially since starting the build and I need the survivability that running Grace gives me. wont trade a whole screen freeze/chill in for shocks.
whats so negative on destroying frozen bodies? they trigger another HoA AoE which proliferates. the body doesnt count, just their hitpoints. however, good build, but i am rather on the saver side ;o) edit: alright! :-) yeah, nice leveling build, i like it though, no worries Last edited by gloobonious#3560 on Sep 2, 2014, 11:06:55 AM

" Are you proliferating the Ice Shot itself? The most you would freeze would be the narrow cone AoE of Ice Shot if you don't. As I said, I currently run Alpha's Howl, but I find the freeze to be fairly negligible for crowd control. To each their own, I suppose. |

Got to 75 yesterday, damage still going strong at 8k, though still need to pick up 66%+ phys and 25% multi on tree. Accuracy seems to be hurting this build quite a bit when it comes to upgrading from Infractem. The main benefit I see from infractem is the 200+ bonus accuracy rating. Without infractem, and no accuracy on gear, my accuracy drops to 77%, which is abysmal, and it only gets worse each level up. I guess now I have to be looking for accuracy on rings/amu/quiver instead of constantly added phys :s More damage is sweet, but missing a lot makes you lose a lot more damage then a mere <15 added phys mod, especially with the slow attack speed the build naturally has.
*Depth Perception accuracy nodes might be good too, but then the build will be almost lv90 by then. Urge anyone trying this build out to pick up as much accuracy on gear to get around 85% at lv70. Gloves and jewelry are best for accuracy. 200 accuracy is like a 3-4% difference at lv75. -[2.0] Tokyo's CoC Hybrid Damage Frostblader ---> view-thread/1401907 -[2.0] The Samurai (2H Crit Katana Wild Striker) ---> view-thread/1368690 -[2.0] Dyadus Elemental Wild Strike - Cheap and Beginner friendly! ---> view-thread/1394595 Last edited by TokyoToho#5485 on Sep 2, 2014, 11:12:43 AM

" no ;o) but you can prolif the AoE from Herold of Ice, if i switch bows and leech i can turn it on. used them both with my but wasted too many colours (that part sucks on a pure eva item) and i need a far better bow :-/ those harbingers are so damn expensive... |
