The item's base type does more damage so the corrupted item does more damage. If bows do 11% more damage now then so does the corrupted one.

What are you going to do? Spec Throw off your 180 unreserved life with a 6L? You'll need LGoH with that buddy.

That or 7-10% life regeneration due to the low base life. Like I said earlier, I wish anyone trying that all the best...
